410 and Mark as Fixed in WMTools
Hi - In Webmaster Tools I have a few hundred 410 errors showing and I am wondering why there is the option in WMT to 'Mark as Fixed' the 410s. Is the point of a 410 not to say that a page has permanently gone? is there anything actually to fix?
Ther 410s pages are old pages ie were old property apartment pages which no longer are needed.
Also, once fixed (i.e. after I click fixed) these errors seem to be in WMT in a few days again.
