Anyone else getting a lot of SPAM lately?

I get a bunch of IM e-mails everyday from people I don't know (Most of them through Ebizac, one through GetResponse, one through Aweber). When I try to unsubscribe, the link that says where I signed up from is always this domain -

247 Money Mojo – Get Your Money Mojo Working 247

There's just a newly installed WP blog there. The annoying thing is that these emails are passing Gmail SPAM filter.

Anyone else has this problem?

Thank you,
Sumit.

I have recently received a great number of spam emails purportedly from the post office, and various other delivery services, telling me that I have a package to be picked up. I have no idea what their angle is, as I just delete them immediately.

On the other hand, I have received absolutely no "Male Enhancement" spam for quite some time. Perhaps they have just given up on me?

Not that kinda spam. They all end up in their deserved folder. IM related spam.

"Here's your download..", "100$ a day" blah blah

I actually reported the one I got two days ago on the Live Chat you have on your website. The person I talked to (Kirsten or Kristina, I don't recall) said she'll report it to the compliance team.

I was kind of shocked to find that the e-mail was sent through GetResponse. If you want help tracking this down then I'd be glad to wade through my trash of the past few days to see if there is anything else sent through GetResponse.

      Sumit.

          Sent you a PM.

For anyone who's reading this, I originally mentioned on the thread that SOME of the e-mails where sent through GetResponse but now that I've looked through my trash, there has only been ONE such incident.

          Sumit.

              I will.

Now I just hope the guys at ebizac are just as helpful as you are because that's where most of the crap is coming from.

                Not always that easy.
Some of the Unsub links are just traps designed to ad you to more lists...

Not these ones though. They are being sent from legitimate ARs. And that's why they are beating GMail spam filters.

In some cases, yes I do get a lot of spam. But mainly because I have set my settings in G like that.

It seems to me that some "marketers" will take someone's name and email and add it to their list just so they make a quick buck.

I do that but if someone is selling a list with my e-mail on it then I doubt this would stop the spam.
