Google Groups?

Does anyone use this and make some type of money from them?

I'm just curious I here that it can help but I wanted to know if anyone has ever made a sale through a group or not.

Yes

I was once marketing a crossdressing eBook and via the group I was able to attract a ready made target audience and was also able to drop some links in some existing crossdresser sites.

As long as you keep the content relevant, the readers will find you and always check out niche products.

Also many moons ago, I created a card making group so I could more easily sell some online card making kits etc. The group grew to 150 in the space of 2 months due to a marketing trick I used to find these enthusiasts.

As long as you treat your members sincerely, they won't mind the occasional soft sell.

I've just created a new writers group, to see how it's set up visit my website (see signature). It's visible at the top of my page. It's brand new though, just a couple of days old.

Google Group called 'writers1st'.

Join up and I'll post some tips

Google groups are great and so are Yahoo groups. You could easily get some good targeted traffic from those groups
