Best ways to market a Podcast?

Hi everyone!

I've just recently started a podcast thanks to Pat Flynn's podcasting tutorial and Cliff Ravenscraft who Pat recommended.

Now that I have one, I'm looking for the best ways to promote it. I've got a twitter page, FB, g+ etc but I really want to get it out there so I can convince book authors and audiobook narrators to come on the show.

Anyone have any experiences or places they've gathered good insight on successful podcast marketing?

For anyone who likes audiobooks, let me know what you think.

I'm so excited to finally have completed one of my dreams! Thanks for the insight anyone may share, appreciate the feedback.

I didn't see any "Follow" buttons on your site? iTunes, Stitcher, and many others.

Listened to your first episode, when I first went there I got a "javascript security error" when I clicked play, but I refreshed the page and when I clicked again it was fine (so it might of been just on my end).

Sounds good, does it help to have a lot of co-hosts? Are you all in the same room while recording?

We are all in the same room, yes! I think it helps because it adds to the feel of a discussion rather than me talking one directional to our audience. I enjoy some one directional podcasts but as fans, I feel it adds more context to the experience when multiple people share their views.

Thanks for checking us out! :-) And feel free to give any more feed back - it is always most appreciated!

Well, I'm not even a podcaster myself and I know the answer you your question: On other podcasts. Unforch, the segment of the populous that listens to podcasts is small, but the obvious and best way to reach them is through other existing podcasts. Most of the podcasts I listen to regularly I learned about after the podcasters either appeared on or were mentioned on a podcast I heard. Ask other podcasters if you can come on they're podcasts.
