What do you do when you find a niche you know NOTHING about?

hi guys!

I found a niche in my language where people have Huge forums, go to public events, have their own magazines, etc.

I searched over the internet and there are just a few thousands of competitors with many of the keywords and phrases.

The problem is: I know NOTHING about the niche.

How Can I create a product to sell them? or a membership site?

I know I can interview some "experts", but there are just a few books with Hispanic Authors about the niche, and I think, some of them already passed away.

What do you suggest?

Cheers!

If I was you I would research, research and then do a bit more research.

It's fine to get into a market you know nothing about. You just have to be prepared to do a lot of learning so you know what you are talking about.

Search the public domain. Use google. Use the forums you were refering to. Find out what the niche NEEDS. Find out what your competitors are giving them. How can you give them more value and a better product.

Its not that hard to find the information they are looking for. Use it to create a kick ass product for them.

Remember, you are trying to make money online. If you find what looks like a profitable market to enter then go for it. Like I said, just be prepared to learn about it. It's no good only entering niches you are passionate about if there is no money in them.

yup many many people are in niches they know nothing about once of the key things they do is:
    outsource

find someone who knows or can find out about the niche and get them to write the product for you.

you've done the hard work ie finding the niche now all you have to do is get an expert to write the content for you

    well done on this btw

I think this is a point that gets overlooked a ton of the time...

"expert" is often the worst way to make money in a niche... you don't need to be an expert, you just need to position the solution in front of buying eyes.

Outsource the product creation and focus on the marketing... you're a marketer, after all.

I wrote a thread about this a while back.. you can forget having to be an expert, if you convey your message factually and evaluate things with a consistent unbiased side about yourself.

The nitty-gritty content and solutions has to come from:

        a) Actual experts in the niche

        or

        b) Writers who can research this niche and put together a stellar package of solution(s)

You decided which one is for you, personally I would rather hire it out and focus on getting my ranking in that interwebs...

        Peace

Man, you really have me curious.

That kind of advice is golddust mate, I reckon i'm gonna try doing this if I can find a good niche. You should make a report on this and sell it, although you probably have.

    Hi

I find doing waht Dan Kennedy says "Read Three Books On The Subject" , then read a monthly magazine for three months and you are an expert.

Also I use Google Alerts to get info from people with blogs out there.

Above all research is the key. Interview experts and become the reporter is the fastest way to appear to be the expert just by interviewing them.

We use the last one time and time again!

    Good luck

    Learn about it .....
A few years ago I didn't even know what internet marketing was and I had no one to guide me. Nowadays I make a living online

Lucky us, today we can learn everything from the internet

You don't need to research a thing! (though the suggestion to read a book or two on the subject and subscribe to some rss feeds on the topic are prudent measures to take). Outsource the whole thing. Get researchers/writers to do your content work. Get someone who has a passion for this to "run" your forums (they'll often do it our of love for the subject and the promise of seeing their name in lights and elevating them to "guru" status in the community). Of course, this takes some cash outlay (though not much!).

i get on the niche related forums and make myself comfortable. join conversations, ask questions, google related topics, read up on wikipedia. immersing yourself in the niche for a while goes a long way in understanding what the demographic wants.
