Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 Has Just Been Released

I just got an e-mail from Nuance announcing the release of the new version of Dragon NaturallySpeaking. I could not imagine working on the computer without this program so I am going to be one of the first in line to buy it. That is, of course, as soon as I can find it cheaper than the price on the Nuance website.

How many fellow Dragon NaturallySpeaking users do we have out there?

I have version 9 Preferred, I purchased that new shortly after it came out. I received an ad from nuance in the mail about it with a discount upgrade as an existing owner.

I am not going to be upgrading, I have my software working how I want and I usually on software like these do not upgrade until the 2 second upgrade so for me I probably wont ugrade until version 11 or 12, I do not have a need too.

That is a good point. I am happy with how 9 works on my PC as well but am not as happy with it on the laptop. I tend to like to tinker, which is probably at the root of my computer problems of a month or so ago

I'd like to say that I'll leave well enough alone but I doubt that I will.

Hey guys, I'm really considering taking the dive. I've been using windows vista speech regognition and it's not that bad. My only concern is that you have to speak very slowly to windows in order to get good precision. I want something that is able to handle quick talkers like myself.

PS. I typed this response using voice recognition and it's really awesome!

I have the law version of DNS. It has worked wonders for me writing articles on the fly. Sure, it took a bit of work to get there but once I had it there, man, I could really fly....

              Hi Tim,

              I use DNS 9.0 and 9.5.

I couldnt live without it! I know that some people
have a lot of trouble with it...but It works like a
              charm for me!

So what have they added to version 10?

              Take Care,

              Michael Silvester
