Building Backlinks + Using Backlink Energizer?

I'm new to SEO and due to suggestions from my last thread I'd like to avoid "Automated" software for the most part.

So what are some ways to build good back-links to my website? and how would I save them and add them to back-link energizer?

Also how would an affiliate program benefit my SEO efforts?

Ouch, sounds painful to me. Get involved in some communities in your niche. Do nice things for people. Make friends. Build a following so people know who you are and what you do. As you grow your image and people come to trust you, you will find it quite easy to get more links. You need a long term plan, and you need to avoid things that search engines will flag as link building techniques. You can always submit to some directories that have an editorial process, but there again don't someone else to do it for you. Get in there and get to know the people in your niche.

I'm not going to do any sort of direct product reviews, but I would be VERY wary of something that builds profile links. Lots of stories of people getting an unnatural linking penalty after getting these types of links.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.
