Free List Building Methods?

A lot of people on the WF always talk about free list building methods.. But no one ever elaborates! Can someone with success in free ways of building your list enlighten us? Thanks in advance!

    make a website where wso are reviewed , traffic which is looking for wso reviews is potential traffic as they are planning to buy it... you can also post affiliate offers on your review site and make some money as commission to digital products and wso.... also you can build a list of potential buyers

    You will still need a squeeze page which will need to have hosting.. $5-$10 per month..

    You will need an autoresponder.. So in that sense it is never free.. But if you mean a free way to drive traffic to your squeeze page to get email leads then video marketing is highly recommended as the best free traffic method at the moment.

      Josh, Robert is correct, it has been covered a lot - but you asked for elaboration...

      I prefer social media, but you can't just pick one - you need to choose the platform where your target audience hangs out - professionals on LinkedIn, the social crowd on Facebook, generally the younger generation on Twitter, etc. These are over-simplified examples, of course.

      Engage and build and audience on your platform of choice, and direct them to your squeeze page to build your list. Solid content that fills a need, solves a problem or satisfies a desire is what you need to provide.

    Adswaps are probably the most popular "free" method of building a list...

    While I don't recommend that you build a list solely using adswaps it can be a great tool in your list building arsenal when done correctly...

    There's 2 main important tasks, direct people to your squeeze page and then how to get them to enter their email.
    The first step, getting people visit your squeeze page with no advertise/promotion budget, you can use a free traffic generation methods like SEO, social media, content marketing, forum posting, etc.
    Then getting visitors enter their email to your form, you can try to offer them a series of email / any valuable stuff for them for free.
    However, the debate is whether it is good to offer freebies that can be will bring more freebies seekers.

    They're generally referring to free ways of getting traffic to your opt-in page. (My method is article marketing. You could say that it isn't really "free", though: I'm just paying for it with time and effort instead of with money).

    There are also some free ways of having/hosting an opt-in page on your own site (such as opt-in pages on free Wordpress blogs on free hosting sites like Byethost, 000WebHost and Freehostia), or on other people's sites (such as by using a service like 90secondsqueezepage.com).

    You still have to pay for an autoresponder subscription, though. Starting off by using a "free autoresponder" is a huge mistake: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post7096755

    The best free list building method is to have your signature link to a squeeze page and offer something of value free. Make sure you write good posts so that people feel obliged to click on your signature :-).

    2. Guest blogging/ blog comments
    3. Social bookmarking
    4. Social Web 2.0 eg: Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, etc
    5. Ad swaps if you have a list
    6. JV giveaway if you have a product

    I don't even waste my time with ad swaps anymore. I tried them and really wasn't comfortable using them

    The main methods I use to build my list and I'm letting the cat out of the bag a bit here are

    1. My blog

    2. Youtube using external linking (this shows how to do it - http://www.warriorforum.com/articles...ube-video.html

    3. Google alerts

    4. Forums

    4. wf articles

    5. War room (i don't use forced opt ins i just get a lot of traffic to my sig)

    Those methods there you can generate a tsunami of free traffic without using anything else

    Set up a squeeze page then create your own free report. After this find JV give aways and watch thousands of people visit your site.

    If you have a high converting squeeze page you will see 100's of signups fairly quickly

    Some other methods that can help are...

    - Create a Facebook fan page then send the people from there to your site
    - Create a Twitter account
    - Create you tube videos and the very add a link in the description box
    - Article marketing
    - blog commenting
    - forum marketing
