ANOTHER Deleted Post! Getting Sick of It!!

Both yesterday and today I wrote posts that were deleted by me before submitting them. And this has happened several times before over the years.

Sometimes it's because I violate rule #1. Sometimes it's because I don't want to be found in Google for all eternity because of some idiotic rant. Sometimes it's because I figure no one cares. Sometimes I need to think things through again so that they make sense. And sometimes I just chicken out.

Anyone else with this problem?

Mark

    LOL! Nice fake-out.

I did it just 2 minutes ago. I actually delete more than I post.

Did I pull a Rip Van Winkle and wake up on April 1st?

Ya got me good, Mark. And yes, I do delete posts before posting (or immediately after) because I think better of the idea.

Maybe we need one of those "are you really sure you want to post this" popups...

Funny enough I find myself doing that. I should probably do that more often.

It isn't always because I am biting my tongue on an inappropriate rant or sarcastic comment, sometimes it is just exhaustion from the same threads over and over.

I am amazed at the patience Alexa shows in the article writing/duplicate content/Clickbank threads.

I have had some really innocuous answers in threads deleted, although the thread lives on. Sometimes I wonder if I inadvertently broke a rule, other times I wonder if the repeated server problems are recovering from restore points and dropping posts.

      I delete 2 or even 3 a day sometimes.

Still a bit shocked over what gets through :p

This place is way slack on the quality posts they allow...

    Mark,
    Anyone else with this problem?
Not at many as there should be.

PS: If I bite my tongue any more often than I do, it will fall off...

I do the same thing on tons of forums. I think it is very therapeutic to write out the rant and delete it instead of posting it

Why don't you write out your rant on your own word processor so you don't accidentally hit the submit button? I've seen a lot of posts here on WF that should not have been made, especially when it seems obvious the user name and signature offers are real.

These posts in the general forums get picked up by the search engines and it's possible that potential customers doing some due diligence might consider the writer too unprofessional (or worse) and just pass on a legitimate offer. The bottom line is that an out of place rant can cost you sales and it's not the personality you want people to see.

I've sadly looked back at some of the things I've posted
from time to time, here and on many other forums.

Most of the time I can blame the wine, but sometimes I
have to admit it was in fact a whine.
