Hi guys!

I need some info as of how to set up a JV.
I have a website that provides custom research for students that need to write papers, that is getting fairly successful and I had several other IM's ask me to set up a similar site for Bloggers so I went ahead and did it.

My problem now is that it's nearly impossible to advertise through Google as there is very little search volume. The best keyword with a reasonable search volume there is is blog which is very unspecific. So I did some brain storming as of how to generate search volume and a JV came to mind.

Problem is I have absolutely no experience with them and I was wondering how to set one up. How do they generally work? I assume PPC or paying per conversions would be an option but how do you track that?

What are other forms of JV's are there that work well?

This is the website: http://www.researchforblogs.com

Thanks!

Stephan

    Hi Stephan

I would suggest looking for some training materials on JV's. It is a big subject
but there are some very good ebooks, etc., available which will give a good
grounding in the subject, and let you know what types of JV are possible.

    Regards

    Ritaj

      Hi Ritaj

Thanks for your help! Any tips on good (or even better, good and free) reading material?

Sounds like your service would be ideal for many an internet marketer who's forced to spend all too much time doing blog posts.

If that's the case, simply making a list of prospective partners who teach internet marketing might work well. Then all you have to do is contact them or their offices with your proposal. You might want to throw in a teleseminar where you talk about what this can do to save the average marketer time and build their credibility.

Getting some testimonials first might be in order, of course.

My hang up here is how to do the JV from the financial point of view. When it's a single product, it's easy to do - give them 50%. With you, people may use your product for months or years and you'd need a way to track that, presumably with affiliate software. And you have to figure out what percentage split is viable for you.

Good luck! The site makes a great first impression

Yes, saving people time writing blogs was exactly my goal and I'm really surprised there is no search volume for it. All the IM's I know (including me) are desperately trying to be as efficient as possible so I really can't figure out why.

One of the problems I think I might be facing (again I have no clue about affiliate marketing) is that it's a pretty dynamic pricing structure. The price depends on delivery time and amount of research done.

How does affiliate software work and what are good examples for it so I can do some research?

I think I shouldn't have too much problems finding affiliates (after I figure out how the whole Affiliate thing works, I plan on just putting it into the JV section as my product will be interesting for all the how-to-IM people) and I'm currently really just figuring out the basics.

      Thanks!

I just checked out some affiliate software and it looks like it will be expensive. Are there any other ways of doing it?
