Good books on Affiliate Marketing?

As a newbie, I am trying to find out everything I can about Affiliate Marketing. In your opinion, what are the best books on Affiliate Marketing? I want to know about books I could pick up at Barnes and Noble or Amazon.com. Also if you know any good Ebooks on Affiliate Marketing that would help me too!

Generally speaking I think that ebooks are better than physical books when it comes to topics where the information changes fast and becomes quickly outdated (ie anything internet marketing related).

With that said, 'Confessions of a lazy super affiliate' is by far the best guide I've read on the subject...

    Confessions of a Lazy Super-Affiliate

Even if you don't buy it, you'll learn a lot just from reading the sales page.

Another good one is Affiliate Masters. Not near as many killer tips and tricks in it as the previously mentioned ebook. But it's very thorough (HUGE), and free...

      Hiya mate

Chris Remple's stuff is the nutz - quality but kinda intermediate level so you need a bit of a base.

I've just gone through the Thirty Day Challenge in the last few days and it's very good and more importantly free.

It takes you through niche and keyword research, blogging, social bookmarking, RSS feeds, backlinks, researching and writing content. It is only a 30 Day Challenge is there are some gaps but nothing you can't fill in at a later day with a more specific book or using the Search Function here...

Then get Confessions... and his Conduit Method.

I agree that ebooks like confessions mentioned above along with day job killer will really help you but is a little pricey but worth it.

The Super Affiliate Handbook. It is worth every penny. Rosalind gives you industry statistics. This book is killer stuff. Also Joel Comm´s How to create a website fast. Amazing ebook.

Kym, I'm not looking for a fight, but every one of your posts ends with
"check out my blog" or "check out my signature".

We don't do that at this forum. Please refrain from this practice.

      Thanks.

        Hi,

Just did a search of past Affiliate marketing tips (rather than starting a new thread.)

I have one question. Personally I have these ways to market someone's else products.

        1. Solo ad
        2. Classified ad
        3. Signatures
        4. Adwords
        5. Graphics
        6. Articles
        7. Blog post or review
        8. Newsletters

I am wondering which is the most effective method for you. And if you have a more effective way, please share with us. =)

Would love to hear from you.

        Cheers,
        John

Just to add a few more ways to promote affiliate products:

Your own web site - this should always be your first priority, even if you start with no page rank, over time with all the other links you will create, your site will start to get organic traffic from the SE's. I've seen sites with nothing but a squeeze page on them get page rank (and lots of traffic) because there were many articles and other resources linking to them.

Next, build your email list to really increase your income over time (I get tons of emails from people selling affiliate products). It will become a goldmine!

You can also use SEO on your articles, your web site, your blog.

Don't forget one of the most powerful affiliate marketing techniques of all...reviews!

Hubpages and squidoo can be excellent if your lenses are good enough.
