Wondering if anyone has a good email tracking system. Just want to find out if and when my emails are being opened. I've used spypig but I'm sure there are other better systems. Just wondering what is your favorite.

  • Msdobe,

Have you looked into Constant Contact or iContact? Both of these have excellent metrics on open rates, click through rates (if links are included) and other stuff. They are pretty reasonably priced. I think they charge based on how many contacts you upload to their systems.

Small Business Marketing from Constant Contact

    Email Marketing Services - iContact

    Hope that helps,

    Hey Jenny!

It's funny, I literally just posted about this a few minutes ago.

I found the absolute BEST program for this...and I've used quite a few.

It's free to use for the first 100 messages, but you'll get hooked! I think it's only like $5 a month for unlimited tracking of emails and integrates flawless with Gmail.

It's called Yesware and not only will it instantly tell you when your prospect opens the email, it will tell you their location and what type of device they opened the message with (Windows, iPhone, Android, etc...)

It also has fantastic reports and tracking for all of your messages beyond the open rates and clicks. And, you can save custom templates for prospecting, following up, personal, etc..

I love it and use it all the time. Has anyone else ever even heard of it yet?

Your auto-responder should do that automatically... I use Aweber. It gives you the date, time, who and what email they opened as far as tracking. Aweber is also the #1 auto-responder. Try it they give you a free month but I would be careful on who you decide to go with its not easy to move a email list. I been using them for about a year and I have no complaints.

I use aweber as my autoresponder service, they keep track of all of that, opens, clicks and even conversions on specific emails if you want.

Although getresponse and Icontact do that too, those are pretty much the industry standards if your gonna be email marketing.

Aweber will track all that...they're sort of an industry standard.

      Hey Shaun,
Thanks! Sounds awesome. I'll definitely look into it.

And for everyone recommending Aweber, thanks, but these emails would not be in my email list, so they're not in my Aweber account.

Yes, I user Aweber and the tracking tools available for people who have opted in to join my list.

But what I use Yesware for is for prospecting in my offline business. So it allows you to track opens, clicks, devices, and provides templates to follow up etc...for ANY email, not just one on your Aweber list that opted in. I could be wrong, but I think that's the functionality you are looking for Jenny.

          Shaun,
You're right, that's exactly what I'm looking for. This is for offline prospecting and I think Yesware would be perfect.

          Thanks again!
