Clickbank vendors and there HUGE list?

I was thing of some list building methods today and it crossed my mind to contact some clickbank vendors (who have huge buyers list) and see if they would be willing to sell a solo ad. Has any one else done this and was it worth the price they charged?

Is there a master list of such vendors or do you have to hunt them down individually?

I reached out to a bunch of them when I launched my eCommerce training course and the ones that replied basically said no way.

That's the reason they're not willing to sell solos The top CB vendors lists are basically GOLD made up of buyers who the vendor now has access to. IMO it's not worth selling a solo to a real BUYERS list.

Your heads definitely in the right place thinking "outside the box" when it comes to buying solos but from my experience this method just doesn't work.

As alksense said - people don't normally give away their buyers list.

            Why?

Competition. Let's say I have a 6 pack ab info product with a list of 1,000 buyers. You come along with your 6 pack ab info product and want me to advertise it to my list? Um, no

It's a good thought, probably worth a try, but I wouldn't expect stellar results.

It would be a laborious task to get all the CB Vendors data in the first place.

You'd have to first determine the relevant category to your product.

Then, locate say the top 10 products in that category based on whatever criteria you wanted.(referred, star rating or whatever)

Then you'd have to visit each site and collect the 'contact' data from the 'sales page' for each site (that might be a form or email address).

Then you'd have to craft a compelling intro. email that would intrigue the vendor enough to even want to open it in the first place.

                Thomas,

I'm not trying to hijack your thread but I recently posted a thread about how I established a relationship with a competitor of mine on ClickBank and how they eventually went ahead and promoted my product to their buyers list.

It didn't cost me anything except time and effort.

This approach may not work for you but I think that it's important to first offer the CB vendor something that is of benefit to them - purchasing a solo ad from them isn;t all that of a benefit to them really.

                Good luck,

                Robert

Yup. That's exactly how it goes. Do help first, ask help in exchange. And you'll get it. I don't promote CB products but I'm an affiliate. I get helps only this way.

Amazing Robert. Totally out of the box thinking. The best part is that you took action. And it worked. Once it worked, you can outsource the process for perhaps $3/hr. Once you repeat the process, you multiply the work speed, make money, build list and build relationships...wow... The only expense at the moment will be the few dollars you spend on outsourcing the boring work of mailing the big vendors. And it's totally worth it.

I think generally that relationships between marketers are more important than all these solo ads.

Pay attention at gurus. They always recommend you the products of the same people. I'm currently subscribed to hundreds of marketers and know what I/m talking about.

I just want to say the next thing: if you have a friendship with 5-10 big players in your niche you do not need to think about solo ads, ad swaps and your mailing list in general.

Because if you launch your product they will help you with advertising and bring you thousands $$$ through their lists

It's a great way to build a buyers list and make some money while doing it, but I would suggest to first make some relationship CB vendors..then buy the solos from them..

Well the way this usually works is - reciprocation.

You send sales to the vendor, he in turn responds with sending traffic your way which if your copy is right will convert to sales.

Thats basically how you build a "relationship" with them, ya'know you scratch my back I'll scratch yours BUT only when you've brought me something to the table first.

its all about affiliate marketing, all the super affiliates are mostly friends and coordinate with the products before release.

I think many of those so called 'super affiliates' had better start looking for better product to promote.

The crap I've been getting from some of the big affiliates pitching pathetically crappy products has dramatically increased in last 6 months.

These 'super affiliates' would do well to take a long hard look, at the products they've been pitching, and start to look further afield for products from people outside their cosy little 'clan'.

I know I've unsubscribed from many 'guru' lists all because of the crap many of them are now peddling. It seems so many of them are now desperate to earn a few bucks any way they can.

      It's pathetic.

    Thomas,

It would be a bad idea to go and contact each list owner to see if they can do a solo ad.

Most of them don't do this. They have one focus on one product that they are selling and you can not get them to promote anything else.

There are a lot of lists out there that do solo ads.

Instead of buying solo ads you can make some joint ventures with warriors and CB vendors. Make sure you make an offer that they can not refuse.

You will probably find that they wont sell but build a relationship with them and even generate them some sales and if your product is good it is likely you may get them to mail for free!

Someone posted what I thought was a clever method for getting this to work recently. Instead of targeting the people sell stuff in your niche who are directly in competition with yourself find vendors selling products to a similar demographic to your own. That way they aren't promoting a competitors products and will probably be more willing to do it.

clickbank once sell but lately Clickbank made changes to their product approval process and marketers were required to prove that they make money with the techniques inside their product. We all know that they make money from building massive lists through product launches (not some secret list building software) So now if you haven’t noticed already most of the new products launching on Clickbank are either squeeze page builders or some sort of software that helps with list building
