Oh Yes, I was Living in Stone Ages.

So far,,,, All my traffic was from SEO and free traffic and have made very good money from it.

I never used paid advertising until recently.

As a new year resolution to jump into paid advertising, I setup few campaigns on Face Book, I am driving traffic to my face book page, then have my site URL on the page.

I am spending $50 a day on bringing traffic to my page. On average 200 fans join this page every day and on average 260 members joining my dating site every day.
It looks like some visitors don't join page but straightaway register as a member on my dating site.

by the looks of the campaign so far, $1 brings 4 fans to the page itself and 5 members to my dating site. [This dating site is a new one and is a Local site for one of the middle eastern country]

I never thought Paid advertising would be so much rewarding. Now I feel I was living in darkness and have missed so much from paid advertising. I feel so bad now on why I missed it before.

By the way, It was one of the warrior who was emphasizing so much on me to look into paid advertising as well, I am so much grateful to him.

Anyways I am happy on other side that I won't be relying on SEO and free traffic anymore.

Thanks warriors.

Enjoyed that, but it took a bit before I got it. Yes, Fred Flintstone must have just used a dial up connection.

It is never too late to join the paid traffic wagon
It also took me two years before I decide to use paid traffic.

Why are you using paid advertising to drive traffic to Facebook???

You should be driving them straight to your own site.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

I want to populate fanpage at first point, most of the fans would anyway register on site at some point. .............. also I am learning paid advertising,,,, Do you think it would be wiser to send them to site instead of fanpage?

        Always.

Why pay for traffic if someone else is getting the benefits? Facebook could take your page down tomorrow and all that money invested is lost (and wasted).

Would you put an ad in the paper promoting your business, and then send your customers somewhere else? Or would you want your customers coming straight to you?

At the moment, you're paying Facebook to promote Facebook.

Make sure you don't waste it when it gets there.

Build a list, have them perform a desired action etc.

Check your stats. Facebook gives you much cheaper clicks if you send them to a fanpage instead of an external site.

Depending on your niche, it can be better to send paid clicks to your facebook page and have them opt-in or go to your site from there.

            Try both.

If you have better luck sending them off facebook to your site it may be worth the more expensive clicks.

Makes sense generally, and I may be wrong, but doesn't Facebook clicks cost less to a FB page than offsite? I'm not sure as I don't do much FB PPC.

What made you choose to go with Facebook ads as opposed to Adwords, for your first paid ad campaign?

I am actually the other way around.

I used to pay for traffic and email leads for years through Yahoo. Made good money too.

Now, I get all my leads for free from my squeeze page which gets free traffic.

I have articles, videos, and forum postings that help a lot to get that free traffic.
