    The need to understand that if you want to succeed in the internet traffic game, you need to work with multiple sources on a consistent basis to do well.

    Plus, you can never rely on one technique or strategy to bring in new and fresh daily traffic.

      You need to have both.

      You always want new people coming to your site just like you want new subscribers getting on your list.

      For someone who is new, I would recommend on just getting new and fresh prospects or visitors to your site/blog/newsletter on a daily basis.

    Make a plan.
    A plan is what you will do on a daily schedule.

    The plan may be a list of tasks that you execute and check-off as you go. Keep a record or log of the tasks you accomplished and those you did not accomplish, so you know where to pickup from where you left off.

    Having a plan is absolutely the first step, although that plan may evolve over time, which is natural. The focus needs to be on providing quality and value. This is the most powerful traffic generatiion strategy of all, because people share with others the things they find to be of real worth (i.e. you go viral on social media and it gets you a lot of traffic).

    Once you have created real value in your website or blog, then you can switch the focus to getting traffic from other sources.

    Due to the care spent in crafting your online presence, you will win loyal fans and more of the traffic you work so hard to get will stick with you.

    Theoretically - figuring out who your target demographic is probably your first step. The easiest model for a target demographic is yourself. Imagine if all customers were like you. What would YOU like to buy? What would YOU like to read?

    Technically - the first step is choosing a keyword or even 3 keywords, and start putting up on content on your website all geared around that keyword. SEO is the best method IMO for building quality traffic and knowing that your site is good enough to build organic traffic.

    Establish your budget for time and money. What you lack in one you can make up for by investing more of the other.

    I remember when I started I had money so I decided to try Google Adwords. I didn't know what I was doing, but like everything in my life I jumped in with both feet and set up my campaign and went to bed. The next morning I got up and had spent $500 with no sales.

    That was the day I decided to invest some time and learn how to do SEO and get my websites ranked in the organic searches. This time spent helped me get to a full time income online I still have today.

      $500 in Adwords within a day. That's hell of a bomb. How's the traffic you manage to get with that money? Any recommendation of what to read up on for SEO?

    That you put in the time and effort to get that traffic, no matter what route you decide to take to get it, be it seo or paid.

    Find 1 or 2 methods you believe you would enjoy doing - this focus all your energy into doing them.

    Once you start to see results, keep trying different methods tout - this way not all your eggs are in 1 basket.

    Building traffic would depend on what your target market is into. If for example your target market is more of the Social Media side then you've got to focus on this. I guess what you really need is to research first so that you will know what strategies you will need to produce traffic to your site.
