Hello, Im starting a new business and I am wondering, which payment processor I should get.

There are many of them, "Paypal", "Google Checkout", "2CO" and more ..

But as my Business will run only with 5$ or 10$ items, I am wondering, which will give me the lowest fees, and best conditions.

Please help

Thank you

Before everything - good luck with the new business! You;re certainly doing things right by asking here as part of your research.

Regarding your question, if you only need one processor use PayPal.

You can also add Google Checkout, 2CO etc options if you want to, but the PP option is almost a must. The reason is simple - so many ppl know PayPal, trust PayPal, use PayPal - it's almost certain that you'll get significantly more sales using PP than if you offer only one of the others. Your site will be more profitable this way, even if they charge a bit more.

Ok, thank you for that answer.

I am not from the USA, so its a bit complicated with Paypal.
I heard, there are lots of problems with freezing accounts, is that right?

Yes, it is right. Paypal arbitrarily freezes accounts and refuses to deal with merchants who have done nothing wrong whatsoever. Too bad you're not in the US, otherwise I would suggest Dwolla for micro-payments. Anything under $10 is free to send and receive, there is no fee at all. But need USA bank account, so that idea is out in this case.

If I find one that works better than Paypal, I'll let you know.

Paypal is certainly the most common. 2CO charges $49 just to open an account. If you're not doing subscriptions, Google Checkout might be a good choice. Payza has higher fees than Paypal, but is gaining popularity as people migrate away from Paypal.

I would start with the best options for your country. Read the terms of service for all of them and compare the fees. There really is no one size fits all solution.

Payment has an option of Micro Payment that charge you less on amounts less than $12. It is a good option, but you don't want to accept bigger payments on account you turn into micro payments because the fees will be higher.

You need paypal for sure, i would consider other option beside paypal as well.

You've said you are not in the U.S. so, unless you are in the U.K., or selling Apps via Google Play, then Google Checkout is not an option for you:

If your country is supported, then I agree that Paypal is probably your best option.

I am using paypal. Please check what kind of products you were selling because some payment gateway like 2CO don't allow many downloadable products or let me say they just block and some of your money will hang anywhere. One of my friend is a victim of that.

You can use Paypal for your micropayments. Payza fees are higher but they offer you better alternatives like direct cc payments.
