That's like asking if the sun is going to rise tomorrow

People are "killing it" with these Amazon sites.

I think he's talking about building sites with scraper software. Don't expect
search traffic from that kind of site.

But however you build your sites, it's all about promotion. Social, video, email-- all of these methods are more reliable than search traffic.

Stay away from those crappy scraper-type sites. They are useless to your visitors and very few, if any, ever make any significant money.

Ah, those autoblogs, don't think those are as effective anymore.

I have a couple of Amazon sites where I use these "automated" software. I also have amazon sites where I write articles for individual products as well. If you want to go the automated route, I suggest a good wordprss theme such as Protozon, or Knightzon and I love the associate goliath plugin. Just make sure that your affiliate ID is correct and put in all the right places or you will lose commissions.

With the automated sites you will have to do more to get traffic, but if done correctly, they will convert better because of the professional appearance. The auto sites will be pulling info from the Amazon API so much of your content will be identical to other people using that same stuff. However you can still tweak it to make it a little more unique.

Both are good options and both make me money. Not a ton, yet, but they get better all the time, with work and with age. Good luck.

Really? I thought auto sites would convert worser because they don't pre-sell the visitors.

Just goes to show that some people are more interested in just posting any old answer in order to show their sig...versus...actually READING the question being asked!

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

I can't comment on autoblogs as that's something I don't do; but I am making good money via Amazon Affiliates and it's mainly down to product selection and good quality unique content.

    Hope this helps.

Yes, the person selling the automated Amazon sites makes money.

    Other than that: nobody really.

It's much better to create a real Amazon site.

  • Think about it realistically how can you make money from a site that can't rank for the content it grabs if the original site is ranking with that content? Google doesn't want to show copies of the same content to their users several times over in the search results.

You'd have more chance writing complete crap that doesn't relate and sprinkling some Amazon links in. At least that way you'd be ranking for unique crap and still refer some of the traffic to Amazon, and perhaps, convert 0.1% if you're lucky

Automated Amazon sites can make you some money if your traffic source is other than Google. For example if you have a large Facebook or Twitter presence and get social media traffic you may make some sales.

In any case if your content lacks value your visitors may not stay on your site once they arrive. Hence you may want to modify the content to make it unique and interesting to visitors.

The secret to making BIG MONEY with Amazon is not such a secret the problem is that the market has been taken over by developers providing what you guys want.

Unfortunately, that is LAZY way to build Amazon sites by just clicking on a button and building a site by using a automated plugin that just scrapes the same content on a million other sites and publishes it on your site too.

Do you really think that you are going to make GOOD MONEY ON AMAZON by doing this ????

Of course you are not, but time and time again people lap up these automated plugins because its a Lazy way to publish an Amazon site.

The TRUTH is a good Amazon site takes (excuse me I am about to use a 4 LETTER WORD)

    WORK

    there I said it,

Yes its true, if you want a real Amazon site that is going to make you consistent money FOR YEARS TO COME then you will need to do some work and build a site focused on a few things such as, making sure you add QUALITY, UNIQUE, AND ORIGINAL CONTENT you should be adding this on a consistent basis.

If you hate writing you have no excuse because there are QUALITY writers that will write you an article for $5 (look at the post above sig)

If you are not prepared to invest in your business whether it be time or money then you are just wasting your time.

If you focus on the above you will quickly over time have a valuable site that will get indexed and rank organically for long tail keywords etc and because its all original content, unique to your site, you have a one of a kind site and Google will reward you for that by ranking you and giving you authority within your niche.

Stop being Lazy and start building REAL AMAZON sites and you will see the difference, it wont be as fast as those automated plugins but it will be QUALITY and will make you consistent sales and will be a real asset.

I am not saying the plugins are useless as they have some decent features but you should not be relying on them 100% to build your sites for you.

BE SMART and DO IT RIGHT for 2013

    Kickin it on Amazon

You need to have some front loaded effort to run successful automate blogs

    1. You need to create a stunning shop front/website. You are running an online retail business. Image count a lot.
    2. Work on the SEO, make sure it is optimized
    3. Create unique contents such as Articles, FAQs, product Reviews
    4. Broadcast your website/blogs using FB, Twitters, Pinterest, etc
    5. Create FB subscribers, list subscribers. Constantly update them with values.

You will sure get results by following the above.
Then you can start to run the blogs in automated mode.
Monitor the results regularly and you will do fine!!

It's pretty obvious what Google wants these days, it's quality content and social interaction, you won't achieve either of these goals with an autoblog. As Gaz says you need to put in the work and I'd say you need to add a bit of personality to the mix as well..
