Clickbank and Vendor's Mobile Sites

Hi everyone.

I have some banners on my site for a Clickbank product that I am promoting.
They redirect fine when I view them on a laptop and desktop.

However, when they are clicked from a mobile they redirect to the Vendors mobile site. This is a problem !!

Why? Because the vendor has a different squeeze page that ask for a email address. The thing when someone signs up they receive an email that has a link to the vendors youtube page. If they buyer then clicks through the link in their video description I lose the sale. The affiliate ID changes to the vendors !!!

Absolute con ! I want to change the redirect coding in the banners on my site that only send it to their main non mobile site. I have probably lost $1000's in earning as I have a youtube vid on page 1 for a very competitive keyword.

Can anyone advise me if this can be done. It's a good product and I earn from it!

You all need to be aware of this and check your links on a mobile phone to ensure you aren't being shafted by your Clickbank vendor !!!!

    Hi Wattles

You should write to clickbank because its not you who is loosing sales but every one who is marketing that product, although its an important issue that has to be consider by many other merchants and advertisers that have not properly coded their mobile redirect pages with the affiliate ID...

I wouldn't contact ClickBank, I would contact the Vendor directly and ask them how they want to address this issue and if there's any way that they could set something up different for you.

If you're sending the vendor lots of sales chances are they should be able to fix the issue for you, if not, then promote a different vendor.

ClickBank will not do anything for you but possibly contact the Vendor on your behalf and send them a message.

Also, keep an open mind, this may be something the vendor overlooked rather than created in an attempt to short-change you.

        Thanks to you both.

Mark, I have contacted the vendor today so am waiting for their reply. This post was two fold really as I wanted to make people aware that there might be an issue with vendor mobile sites.

This is a very popular product with a very high gravity. I realise it may be an oversight. However, surely anyone knows that the last aff link clicked gets the sale. If they are putting their own link in the youtube vid description which they are sending my traffic to I question their intent to be honest.

I will see what they say but will start looking around for another product to promote in this niche.
