Please help me stop this list building argument...

I read ten articles...5 of them said that list building was hard...5 of them said that it was easy.
Is it easy or is it hard, and why do you say so?

    It's easy if you know what you're doing...

    It's hard if you don't :p

    List building was the first and only business model that allowed me to make steady and consistent money...

    For me, list building is easy

    Not hard if you have a system set up. Only time it gets hard is when people don't want to put in the effort, or when they refuse to create a product and use old plr stuff instead.

    It's hard if you don't have high converting landing pages and you don't know how to give traffic on it. I feel it is easy.

    I think people may feel that it's hard because they don't think they can form a relationship with their subscribers. This is the reason why I felt so hesitant to do it at first.

    After making my living off it for a little while now, it's actually MUCH easier than I thought it would be.

      List building itself is easy.

      Using it successfully to build your business is less easy. There's a lot to it. There's a learning curve.

      It's really hard for people who try to do it without understanding the basics, and what's important and what's not. People who "go wrong" are typically people who jump in and try to take action without having learned enough first to make sure they're setting off in the right direction. Taking action without education and understanding first is a real mistake. The blunders are all "out there", waiting to be made by the unwary.

    Putting together the technical bits and pieces is not that hard. ( Lots of good tools and freebie courses out there.)

    Getting subscribers isn't really that hard either.

    Whats hard is sticking it out. Waiting for the first conversion or the first sale - that first 4 to 6 weeks is tough mentally. If you can power through that one way or the other, then rest is:

    Easy

    ( Though still a lot of work....)

    List Building is easy to understand and implement but it is hard to get right.

    People mistakenly think that any offer will build their list. Or that once people are on a list they will buy form you.

    You need to offer something your subscribers need. Get targeted traffic to that need. And provide a good service to your subscribers.

    Get them to know, like and trust you and then your list will respond...

    One of the big mistakes is putting the cart before the horse. Your follow up is the most important part of your List Building and once you have that planned then you can build up to it.
