YouTube Annotations - Toast?

I have several YouTube channels and on a couple of these, I put in annotations that linked live to a website (very cool). However, since then I've tried doing this on new channels and it looks like the good folk at YouTube have eliminated this option altogether. My original ones still work, but on newer channels the "associated website" option doesn't even show up, even after I've jumped through all of the verification hoops. Anyone else had this experience in the past week or so?

Thanks

Have noticed the same. Would love to find a work around. Seems the subscribe options was giving people fits, too, but you can just use your manual link to your subscribe page and it works. Haven't tried this, but perhaps you could do that to a site outside YouTube?

Youtube has eliminated that because "spammers" were using it to their advantage, uploading copywrited videos and having annotations saying "click here" for the real video and taking them to irreverent content and websites..

I noticed this as a trend a few months back. Instead of adding annotations, we started to just add in watermarks to each video.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. This was a great feature and I'm sorry it's been wiped out.

      Cheers!

I just checked some videos of mine that have annotations. They are still showing.

Old annotations are still showing, but not seeing a way to add in new links on new uploaded videos. You can still put in annotations, just not links. So put the link in the description and put an annotation with your web address as a visual element on the video. I think I remember seeing a WSO in the last couple of months that had a way to add links to videos, does anyone recall that?
