My first sales funnel "tri-fecta"!
So I was looking for information on setting up sales funnels when I found a great WSO on the subject for only $2.50 (ironically nobody was rushing to buy that one- not shiny enough I guess, lol).
Anyway as I was reading it I was thinking about all the debate around here about OTOs (since they're a major component of a good sales funnel) and how many is too many, that kind of thing.
I remember reading or hearing someone say of his own sales funnel that he had no right to decide for the customer what he wants and doesn't want. So he offers several OTO's in his sales process. He said there might just be people who will gladly and happily purchase everything you have.
Well, it just happened to me! After hanging out and learning here for several months now and learning about OTO's, I went and made some changes a few weeks ago. I was giving away a free 5 day vocal training mini-course but had nothing on the thank you page.
Last month I released a 45 minute training video and added it to my thank you page as an OTO.
Then to the thank you page of that video I added a promotion of the 6 month course. Well I just had someone go through and grab it all! They signed up for the free course, grabbed the 45 minute video from the thank you page and then enrolled in the 6 month course from the thank you page of that one! This is so exciting to me, considering the fact that:
1. This is a niche everyone says you can't make money in
2. My sales funnel isn't even optimized yet
3. My site could definitely use a face-lift.
4, I really don't have much of a traffic strategy yet so most of it is just organic stuff from the site and Facebook; modest to say the least. I've been trying to wait until I have my sales funnel set up properly and converting well before really pushing a lot of traffic to it.
Don't get me wrong, it's not happening every day or anything, but I have made a few sales with both products, which I can't help but be excited about all things considered.
Thanks to all you guys for what you do here. There's game-changing stuff being posted on these boards every day if one would pay attention, take advantage and just do something with it. Even half-doing it in a tough niche I've managed to make a little something. Imagine when I get it all perfected!
