How can I see how many copies a kindle book has sold?

Hey fellow warriors,

I thought I remembered seeing in an ebook somewhere the name of a website to help with amazon research. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to see exactly how many sales an item has had. ?? specifically kindle ebooks. ?? Can anyone help?

    I have sold books on kindle and I believe that is the only way to see how many sold is through the back office. I also co-authored a book and didn't know how much it sold because I wasn't the one selling it. As an outsider on where the book is sold you can see rankings. As far as where the book stands in the midst of other books. - Hope that helped!

    I think any website that claims to show sales volume for Kindle books would have to estimate it based on the book's sales rankings, since the actual sales data isnt available publicly. Since rankings can jump and fall rapidly from day to day, the information being provided would likely be wildly inaccurate and not really give you a good picture of how well a book is selling.
