Free Video: RTMP Streaming w Amazon CDN and JW Player

Reposting in a standalone thread to help more folks:

Note: If you don't know the advantages of RTMP via a cloud network, it's pretty simple. The video files will be distributed to cloud computers all over the world and no matter where a person is, it will load from the servers closest to them for maximum speed. AND, with the RTMP protocol, it will begin playing quickly and they will be able to seek to any spot in the video almost instantly, even in a 30min or longer video.

Ok, I just did a very BASIC Amazon CDN RTMP streaming video setup. This is just the stock JW Player on a basic HTML page. No plugins, no wordpress, no nothing. Here it is, on RTMP naturally

This is NOT my usual video quality, just something I threw together for you quickly. Feel free to steal the HTML code from my site if you wish to have a working example.

    Thanks for this Bruce.

    Even though it's been around for a while, folks are *finally* starting to get with the program and take advantage of CloudFront and true streaming capabilities. Not only is it a better experience for a viewer (faster, click anywhere and play) but it costs less money because it only loads the part of the video being watched NOW.

    Funny that literally a small handful of software exists to integrate RTMP seamlessly with Wordpress vid players...

    I tried playing this on the iPhone and iPad but it is not playing. I am looking for a solution like this that will play on smartphones as well as desktops.

    Any ideas?
