When you launch a site what step do you take next?

I'm trying to learn some kind of system for launching websites.

Like for example say you built a site and now need traffic. I'm trying to find some kind of blueprint that carefully details everything you need to do.

What I do find is mostly tons and tons of random unrefined ideas. Like for example someone wills say: Get accounts set up on a variety of social networks. (unrefined) To me that's just slow and worthless.

For starters there's different types of social networks. But even if we grouped them into one batch, what I'd rather know is something like ......"this guy on a fiverr sets you up on the top 30 social networks for X".

So that's what I mean. Like one takes you 2 days the other would take 2 minutes.

I'm just wondering if there's some ebook, blueprint, website, or whatever that shows you exactly where to go, what to do, who to hire, what software you need etc etc.

Just seems like this is essential. Otherwise progress is way to slow and you don't get anywhere.

    Focus on generating lots of targeted traffic to your new site and building an email list. I would start off by using free methods and when you begin to generate some profits I would reinvest that back into your business.

    In order to get more traffic,
    1. research for proper keywords ( Various techniques available).
    2. Create a website and install a nice theme.
    3. make sure you have nice layout, easy navigation, add adense on the sidebar. (Proper site structure).
    4.. Have some Good content on it.
    If you are promoting a product, make sure you know about the product and try to give true insights about it.
    5. Create a Blog on Blogspot.
    6. Create a youtube channel.
    7. Join various social media sites like fb, twitter, linkedin,myspace,forusquare to engage with others.
    8. Use social bookmarking sites like Digg, stumbleupon to bring traffic.
    9. Use forum profiles and links in signature.
    10. Rinse and repeat.

    Success will follow.

    50 articles + 50 youtube videos. If your monetization/AR sequence is setup effectively that will be enough traffic to get sales for a long time. Build links to the vids not so much your own site even.

    1. Set up traffic tracker ex; google analytics

    2. Get google adwords account set up campaign there and find out what title and description you should use for your website in order to get maximum conversion from search engines.

    3. Submit at least 1 article with unique/interesting content to your website per week. You can add blog to your site for the content.

    4. Analyze what anchor texts your top ranking competitor build their backlinks under.

    5. Build backlinks about 3 per week that are from PR3+ and Alexa 200,000- domains. The easiest way to find those domains that you can get a backlink from to your website is by analyzing the backlinking sources of your top ranking competitors.

    I either start buying solo ads (because its a squeeze page) or I add all in one SEO plugin to it and start building links slowly to that site to get it ranked..

    I also add a lot of content to it.

      Thats true, after set up new web page you will need traffic. Here we can separate it in two different type:

      1.) Organic FREE traffic
      2.) Paid traffic (faster one but costly)

      Now it depend on you what you want to do, what type of traffic you want. On free organic way you will need to play with SEO and it takes time. In other way using PPC/PPV or any other paid advertisment you will need to spend money to drive traffic and you cannot be sure if will bring you results.
      Results, I mean conversion depends on several factors. Targeted traffic matters and that one who are willing to buy. In surfers we are just not interested except you have some special CPA offer also for them.
      You ask one global question and it simply cannot be answered in few sentences.

        So, we're assuming here that your site's all set-up and ready to go, right? Like, your keywords are already looked-up/researched, your website's already optimized and configured with the appropriate plugins for SEO and driving traffic, etc..?

        Well, once you launch your site, the next thing you're gonna have to do is invite people to take a look at your site. This is called Website Promotion. Now there are a lot of ways you can do this, but they mostly involve the social media. Set-up accounts and pages on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. and invite people to visit your site by placing your website URL so people can easily go to it.
