Looking for Methods Doing Affiliate Marketing Using PAID traffic

In my newbie mind, the steps are

1. Have a landing page (optin form) with a strong copy.
2. Direct to affiliate page after opting in
3. Drive traffic from paid traffic
4. Find what converts (keywords, offers, etc)

Do I have this right? or are there other methods to do affiliate marketing using paid traffic?

    Hey,

That sounds about right....of course, there are infinite ways to do it...there is no hard set way. Test around, find out what works and run with it.

There are tons of ways to do it.

Many times things convert better when you don't grab their email with affiliate marketing.

I like to start with a simple landing page, then once I know the keywords/URLs convert I'll test an email squeeze and building a list next.

But your overall concept is correct. Check out the CPA forum of WF to get more advice!

I don't do this part. It would undo a lot of the good I do with the rest of my opting-in process, and for my traffic demographics, that would be a little too early to hit them with an "offer". What's important to me (because it's important to them) is coming across as a respected provider of valued information first.

I've done that "direct to affiliate offer" in the past, but I find I sell more by avoiding it.

You can make some very fast sales from it, of course, but those are nearly all sales you were going to make soon enough anyway. You can also lose people over it, and create a suspicious attitude among some. It doesn't necessarily enhance the primary objective of having your subscribers trust you.

You have to test carefully, and without assumptions. It's easy to imagine that if you do that and make some sales, you're benefitting from it overall. The reality may be (and sometimes is) very different.

Yes; many. But what you've outlined above is certainly one of them.

Best source of traffic that converts well with our offers is Banner Buys on
Niche targeted sites. Not only that it converts extremely well it is also very cheap.
