Best Way to Spend 120 Hours...

...from now until the end of the month? I'm looking to put in 40 hours a week over the next three weeks (possibly more, just depends on what I can fit in with my school schedule) and wondering where I could best allocate my time.

I started affiliate marketing in the summer. I'm mainly using Amazon's program but not opposed to others (want to try eBay's, but I figure getting traffic that is ready to buy is most important right now.) I have two pieces of software I've purchased (FastSniper - searches Twitter and other social media sites for people discussing your niche / Stealth Keyword Competition Analyzer - ranks keywords to use on your site, used it for selecting domains), and I've built several sites. My WordPress skills could definitely use some improvement, so I was thinking about focusing on learning WordPress more during this time.

The sites I've built were in August and October, and they could definitely use some improvement. I've also researched a couple new niches I want to go after right now. I'm wondering if I should focus on updating my older sites or dive into the new ones - both would be ideal but not sure where to focus first - I like to have multiple projects going on at once to keep my interest fresh in everything I am doing.

I'm not opposed to buying more software to help increase efficiency. Probably wouldn't want to spend anymore than $100 right now though because I don't have a reliable income stream at the moment.

So, what would you recommend focusing on to get the most out of the rest of February - improving WordPress skills, updating old sites, building a new site, or something else?

Get a mentor otherwise your effort can be futile..

Building new site is not the answer if your current site has the market
and not generating you enough sales.

You would want to ask yourself, how much traffic are you getting to your site
and how much of them convert. From there you will be able to deduce where
    your problem lies..

It's really something one can not conclude without taking a proper look
at what you have been doing and what you have on table right now..

My "mentor" was my former manager but he was always "flaky" on information. He would get me started on something but not give me nearly the full picture. Hell, when I would ask him to show me one of his sniper sites as an example, he would always ignore the question.

I think my other sites should stay on the back burner while I focus on this new niche I am going for because it is a budding market. The products I want to market are mainly available through a retailer's affiliate program though and not Amazon (although they do have a few of the products.) The use iDevAffiliate for their affiliate program (anyone have any feedback on them?) I guess maybe what I am also wondering is would it be better to build a more robust site or a "light" content site and drive traffic, then build up the content...

It sounds like you have a lot going on...maybe to much for your own good right now.

Focus on one project until it starts generating you some consistent income.

You will start making money a lot faster focusing on one project instead of two or three at once.

If i were you i would focus on just one site and adding content to it, and at the same time driving traffic to it. That's basically the only way you will make sales. And Wordpress you can learn by just trying new things. It's fairly simple to amnage so you'll learn pretty quick.

I would focus on adding more content to your current site and building yourself a list. Then focus on driving either free or paid traffic to your site and building up your list of subscribers.

I would focus on learning success habits like discipline, sacrifice, and perseverance first. The rest are mere details.

120 hours is a lot of time. The best advice I could give you is to stick to one project for the whole time. Pick a project, either a website you already have or something new you want to do. Spend a day planning what you want to do with your project and how you want to do that.

And then just do it. Don't second guess yourself. Don't give up. Keep adding to it, building traffic, and pushing forward until it is profitable.

It may be tempting to work on other things as well. You may see some cool ideas or suddenly get inspired to try something.

But don't get sidetracked. Stick to your plan and just do it.

      Good luck!

I agree with the direction all the replys are taking you. Focus is crucial to making any money online. Its so easy to get sidetracked and distracted , especially since it can be exciting.
My 2 cents: As other posts mention, look at 1 project.
Create a list of action items to take the site to profitability. (IE Traffic Building, Social Media Presence, etc) Then every day pare that action item list to only the 6 most important. Work on nothing but those 6 items until they are completed.

Can you message us your two websites, we'd like to help you bring those sites up with some free seo campaign.

Don't build too many sites until you can have a good system working. No point with a bunch of half finish sites that aren't getting traffic...building the sites are one part, the other part (important) is getting the organic users you want.

Building more sites witohut working things out only mean more work and expenses for you...also avoid getting too distracted

Speaking for myself, I intend to dedicate my time posting on forums to promote short reports. These short reports will help pre-sell prospects, then direct them to my affiliate link.

I only just started today, so no results yet. And I haven't been tracking my time, either. Big mistake.

I have no idea if that will help you or not, but hopefully it'll give you some ideas.
