Wordpress Profits Theme - Can I use it for this type of membership site?

I have a digital scrapbooking website using Wordpress which I'd like to turn into a membership site. I've been looking at the Profits Theme plugin and was wondering if I could use it for my site?

I'm not going to be doing any drip feed content. I want to have some free content on the site as well as "members only" content such as videos, downloads, etc. So when someone logs in, it would open up new menu areas with the member content.

So....

1. Would the Profits Theme be able to do this?
2. Would I need another membership plug-in such as Wishlist?

Thanks.

I am not familiar with the "Profits Theme", but I really recommend the "OptimizePress" theme for WordPress which do the job perfectly. You can read more about it here: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...es-letter.html

Profits Theme DOES have a membership option built right into it and with multiple levels.

It looks like OptimizePress needs an outside membership plug-in to work properly which is not what I'm looking for. If I'm wrong, please let me know.

Mike - is it possible to create and secure various wordpress categories? For instance, can I create two different post type categories such as Free Videos and Member Only Videos? Then put the free videos into the free category and member only videos into the members only category which would require a membership to view?

I know that sounds confusing but my goal is to create a member's only community website with tutorial videos, forums, download area, newsletters, photo gallery, etc. So when a member logs on, all of these things would be available to them at once.

        Thanks.

Honestly...? I haven't done it. I use PT for lots of things, but haven't actually set up a membership site on it. I know there's options for silver, gold and platinum membership levels, but I'm not positive about having a separate category.

Seems to me, you could set up the category and then protect the content within it pretty easily with "gold" or "platinum" privileges though.

Sorry I can't be of a little more help man, good luck.

Yes, it will do what you need.. It allows for both free and paid pages/posts/content on multiple levels...

It is also great for building landing pages and sales funnels for your product...

I have tried most of them and prefer profits theme... (not an affiliate, just a fan)
