How to monetize from my blog with unique visitors from US - Social media traffic

Hi,

I started a new blog few days ago and I am getting approx 400 uniques a day from US (mostly). How do I monetize this traffic ? Its all social media traffic.
I am currently using ad sense but its not really working as well as I thought it would.
I tried amazon banners but no sales or even clicks there.

I know its just been a couple of days so I should not push too many ads yet.. but I am eager to get this thing off the floor asap.

What could be a nice way to make some decent cash on this ? Any ideas ?

    You can use some opt-in plugin and build a list. This could be really effective if done the right way. Here is one used by the big bloggers: OptinSkin

    If you're not having an opt-in form on your site you can put one on there. I don't see any problem with you doing it that way versus a squeezepage since you're obviously having a nice stream of referral traffic.

    Haven't tested amazon banners, but regarding adsense, in my recent experience, the ads were not targeted properly to the content. This was never the case for me years ago. So I don't know if that was your problem...

    But yeah, the opt-in form on a content rich page might work in your case, I'm thinking.

      Oh sorry I forgot to mention its a picture blog. So my audience are mostly into images/banners - text ads/ optin's wont work (in my opinion/experience with such traffic).

    How much are you making from adsense rite now ? The kind of blog you have adsense is your best option rite now.

        I make $2 to $5 per day from my blog which has less than 200 unique hits I don't even open that blog now it's what I check end of the month..

        I think you are placing ads on all wrong areas in your blog thats why your earning is low do you mind sharing your blog here ?

    Blogs with images only are not likely to get high paying adsense ads. I think adsense is the only way to earn from this kind of blogs. Because people are there for only images. You should use only image ads of adsense there to get more clicks.

    Increase of traffic is essential to increase adsense earning.

      Yes thats what I am wondering its quite low.. but maybe its low as image ads dont pay as much as text ads. and since its a picture & meme blog, image ads are best. sure, here's the url - Pretty Cool Pics - Ultimate picture blog | Largest collection of cool pics and memes on the net bringing you entertainment and fun. - can you guide me on better placement or anything that can increase earnings ?

      Yeah that could be the reason too... image only would target more generic ads from adsense with lower CPC's. Yes, I use image ads.

      Do you think its worth spending more time and increasing traffic to this baby , if I am getting only low CPC ad's .. ?
