Best Wordpress Theme for Conversion Rates?

Hey guys,

I am working on fleshing out some landing pages for a niche as my next project (several different websites) and I was wondering what Wordpress theme(s) you would recommend for optimizing conversion rates? What about plugins? I am familiar with how to optimize conversions outside of Wordpress (running a couple Shopify sites) but i'm looking to learn from the communities knowledge of the Wordpress landscape.

If you can make a compelling case for why ______ is better than Wordpress for conversion, i'd be interested to here your thoughts there as well.

More relevant info:
Each item in the niche will have it's own url. I am generating revenue by writing copy, running SEO, and including affiliate links.

When coming up with the theme i'd like to use all I care about is optimizing conversions.

For those of you who have used Multiple themes, what elements do you believe most contributed to the success of your most successful theme?

I'm a data guy. Any statistics/insights/etc. into this question would be beautiful.

I'd be happy to pay $10 via Paypal (or contribute $30 in your name to the charity of your choosing) if I end up using the theme you recommend.

Cheers!

Hi Duke, the conversion rates are typically determined by the interaction between the traffic and the content, not quite as much by the theme and the plugins.

    Hey Alexa,

Totally understand. I've been in the game for awhile now running a pretty well trafficked blog as well as a couple of eCommerce sites so i'm fairly familiar with optimizing copy/content/etc.

In my experience, I have noticed that the theme I used via Shopify (my eCommerce platform) had a huge influence on my conversion rate (3% vs. 7.5%). I wish I would have known that earlier in the eCommerce game.

It seems that aesthetics do play a huge role in conversions, I was just wondering if people had played around with a fewdifferent themes and found one to be superior for optimizing conversions in Wordpress.

    Cheers,

    D

I start all my projects on ProfitsTheme and/or OptimizePress. I keep the page as simple as possible. I use the copy to convert. Then I add elements and test as I go.

That's the only starting point I can really give you. Testing is unique to your market, message and product. There isn't a universal WordPress theme that converts with all markets.
