Who doesn't spin their content?

Does anyone here write their articles for seo purposes and then submit it to every article directory out there? Does it work well? Do we really need to spin articles if we are just using them for backlinks?

  • I have never spun an article. I am not worried about Dup content penalties or any of that. All of my sites have the same articles I submit to article directories.

Sometimes, I rewrite the 1st paragraph...but that is it.

If you are working on getting backlinks, then you don't need to re-write the content. However, if you are looking for traffic, then I suggest that you re-write every article before submitting them to different directories. 50% re-write should be enough

Article submission is 50% based on the 1st article someone reads, and 50% based on reputation. If they don't like the first article of yours that they read, chances are you won't get someone reading a 2nd one. If you want successful articles I'd say avoid spinning, although submitting to many directories is ok.

If you just want tons of backlinks go ahead and spin, although your sacrificing some reputation for some traffic, the decision is yours..

There is a huge misconception about article spinning, many believe that it is spamming and that spinning produces less desirable and nonsensical articles.
The truth of the matter is a SPUN article is only as good as the effort put into it.
I will use an actual article I wrote and spun using WinSpin2009 to elaborate my point.
One keyword phrase in my article is 'Collecting Hazel Atlas' if you search on Google for this exact phrase, you will note that my article is FIRST and SECOND, as well as I dominate the first page for the phrase.
You will also note that the articles are the same basic article, just spun with WinSpin2009.
If you submit the same exact article to dozens of article directories, you are not getting indexed AND you are not getting the backlinks! The backlinks are directly related to the spiders (Googlebot, Yahoo, etc) finding your webpage. Since all major search engines basically ignore duplicate content, the spiders or bots will never make it all the way down to your resource box to pick up your link, because it has already seen this page and indexed it!
I have extensively tested and researched this subject and have come to the conclusion that duplicate content does hurt your website and backlinks.
If you are going to spin articles, you need to use the proper method, and a semantically enhanced article spinner, like my WinSpin2009.
You can see more information on the 'semantics' link in my sig box

Everyone should spin every article they write, then submit it to Associated content. Might as well get a few bucks for your work.

The original goes to EZA for traffic, and its "evil twin" can go to AC, and they'll pay you a few bucks for your work.

So let's say you write 100 articles, and submit those to EZA. Then you spin those same articles, and AC pays you 3 bucks for them... you've just made 300 bucks.

    AND...

AC articles rank in search also... not as well as EZA, but still.

If you outsource your articles you can probably make your money back just by submitting to AC after they're spinned.

    Just my $0.02 anyway.

Yes. If you are submitting for backlinks you MUST spin or re-create your article. Otherwise your links will be devalued as they get sucked into the supplemental index.

I'm developing a second article rewriting tool soon which is going to be FREE for everyone to use. It's a simple tool but my manual testing of the concept gave me 70% uniqueness from the original article and read just as well.

It should be ready within a week or two.

I tried spinning one of my articles years ago when I first started writing and
the resulting article was so horrible that I trashed it and never bothered
      trying again,

Having said that, there is a spinner out today that is quite good. Problem is,
it's way too much work for me to use it. I'd just assume write an article
      from scratch.

No article spinner is going to crank out a great article with no work on the
      writer's part.

OK, So lets say I write 100 articles. I will be better off just submitting them all to one directory or 1 article to 100 directories?

Won't submitting all the articles to all the directories give me a much bigger link boost for seo?
