A new way of marketing you never seen

Hi everyone I think I may have come up with a very powerful way to market if I can ever get it off the ground. Here is what I am doing. I wrote this program that is a very specialized browser allowing people to view the best free internet TV and movies online. This program works really well, and cost the user nothing right from the start. The browser is pre loaded with buttons containing links to television viewing that would be very hard for the average person to find on their own with a regular browser. In fact most people using this software don't even realize they are in fact using a very restricted browser.

OK, here's were the marketing strategy comes in, each time program is opened the viewing portion of the screen goes to a random webpage. This random webpage usually has an embedded video of a celebrity that is endorsing a product, like for example green coffee extract, their talking about the benefits of how you can lose weight and other benefits of the extract. The video is set to auto-play when the page is opened. Below the video is more information of the benefits and because this is a new breakthrough they might want to hurry and use my affiliate link to green coffee extract while supplies last.

I need some advice as to what would be the best way to give this program away or get in into a wide circulation. I am looking for solid strategies to get this program on as many hands as possible. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

You should start a pay per install program. People will gladly spread your links for even 25 cents or less per install. The downside is that this type of affiliate program is notoriously susceptible to scammer affiliates

I noticed that Windows 8 does this, so you can use some of their software for free, it plays an advertisement first.

What will the internet TV show? I think that the success of this will depend on how much of your life you have to give over to being advertised at, so that you can get the information that you're after.

One question: from where? What is the source of those movies and tv shows?

The source comes from websites that have the tv and movies uploaded to them

Well I see a couple of problems

        1) There are already a ton of websites doing what you are talking about, (most of them offering up illegal viewings/downloads of tv shows, or feature films that were recored with camera's in theatres, etc, etc, etc)

        2) if you are getting them from legit sites, those legit sites, not mentioning the film companies are going to have a problem with what you are doing

        3) as someone who watches movies online what you are mentioning is very, very annoying. And I would actually pay a subscription for non ad shows.

Maybe you should go that route instead and charge a subscription because your movies will NOT have any ads

Obviously to do something like this and be legit like Netflix you would have to work out deals with production companies.

Most of the sources for the view programs are streamed from legit sites, other sources that the program draws from, I really don't know or care what arrangements they have with copyright holders. When people open my program it only shows one advertisement each opened session. Some of the feed sources may have advertisments of their own.

As far as the film industry goes and any concerns about watching copyright material that may have been obtained from illegal means by some of the sites that my browser my be viewing. I can only say that it might be wise not to install this program on your computer as you might be viewing copyright material.

Also on a second thought you really should consider removing all the browsers off your system that are capable of displaying content that you have not paid for.

Istvan, the OP has made his position clear - he doesn't care what the source is as long as he gets his.

That said, the number of legitimate sources is growing every day. The 'problem' is that they are not well-publicized - you have to dig for them. Not surprising, as the legitimate production companies need to meet payrolls, too.

Well, I had to look up sociopath, and I found that I do share a lot of traits of a sociopath, which is alarming to me. I do not intend to harm anyone with my product I designed this software out of frustration because of the lack of any good products to do the job. I openly admit I don't like copyright laws, but this has nothing to do with my software anymore then any other browser on the internet. I was just looking for some ideas on distribution, nothing more.

Me, either. And since you agree, that means that I can just reverse engineer your software and rebrand it as my own.

                  HAHAHA... I LOVE THIS.

                  The logic is amazing... so

                  1. Internet Marketers don't like copyright laws.

                  2. They offer movies and shows for free regardless of copyright laws.

                  3. They make money only by advertising/marketing movie streaming products/services that exist because of the copyright laws...

                  How ironic!
