Personal blog can succeed?

Hi warriors.
I have this idea of creating a blog that deals with everyday problems. It dosnt has a very specific niche but I relate to the idea of the blog. Can a blog like that can make some money with Adsense and maybe some affiliates?

It would help a lot if you got specific and decide on a niche for this blog. You'll find it much easier to succeed if you do a blog dealing with everyday problems in IM, than you would with a blog that dealt with everyday problems on whatever.

Then again, everyday "life" problems could also work.

I think the niche for that would be self-improvement, and that's a huge niche, so yes, you could easily monetize that with adsense and affiliate products.

You might want to think about approaching this from the "Self Improvement" angle for a niche. Everyday problems is a huge general approach. It's almost too all inclusive. By narrowing down to self improvement you can encompass almost all the everyday problems that arise for people. If you're going to blog, be sure to be consistent with your blogging. It seems to me that , like a lot of things, blogging is all about numbers. Not to mention key words.

      Best of luck

What if I deal with problems without specific niche but a specific audience?

If you do that, you'll want to know as much about your target audience as possible. Age range, gender, common interests, etc.

I can't offer you any advice on how to go about finding this information, but I wish you luck with it all the same.

And yes, I'm sure a blog that caters to a specific demographic would do just as well as a blog that caters to a niche, if not more so.

Yes, that audience could belong to a specific micro niche,

Make sure to get in and build a rep - if you offer information, good information then people will respond. People love value

    Good luck !

I really want to deal with specific audience and less with a niche.

Yes you can make money with a blog of this nature. As long as you are sharing stories that people can really relate to and then offering some sort of solution to help them deal with that problem, I think you can make a decent amount of adsense and affiliate income once your readership grows.

The real question is you have to chose a niche and not an audience?

Something a bit more focused would probably be better; for you and for the people visiting your site.

It's hard for people to find what they're looking for, especially with "everyday" problems. I can list millions of "everyday" problems that I've had, so it would be kind of hard for people to narrow your site down to fit their needs.

    Just my opinion.

Something like problems at office, at home or in a particlular niche may do much better with the site getting an identity of its own. A website that goes too broad may not look very professional.

I think a blog like this can and will work, but you have to realize it will take quite some time. A site like this will need to have tons of information to keep a visitor as well as being ranked well in the search engines. different forms a traffic generation will work but a site like this will probably rely heavily on search engines.

A Q&A type blog would probably be the way to go, this will allow visitors to contribute content on a regular basis. There is a theme called askit that might work for you here is the link AskIt WordPress Theme (not affiliate)

You can build a blog like that and make it successful. As long as you post high quality content that is engaging to your audience and build a list at the same time, then slowly but surely, your blog will become successful.

As long as people are looking up the topics you write on, you'll get traffic. As long as you get traffic, you'll make money. It's as simple as that.

As long as what you write is attractive and gets more and more people reading it, I am sure you will soon become successful.
I think the content should be well structured and specific. Also, I agree with Joshua's suggestions.

Maybe along the lines of a site like How to Get Rid of Stuff.

That site is a problem solving site in many niches. I suspect it makes a lot of money. Hits many niches, but comes from a similar perspective.

    eHow is another example.
