Well the smarter people realize you can't just be online or offline these days.

    Ummm... Both?

Online has the potential to be passive, but in terms on money making potential, any business that you can build and sell has the potential to make you money.

Obviously the money is offline in terms of businesses that effect national economy's on a huge scale. You can't build commercial buildings online. You need labor forces, employees, and, the like. What's the real question here?

Focus on making money with both methods (online and offline). Use your online expertise to help and benefit small businesses. Why limit the amount of money that you can make?

Wow. What's this all about? Why are you even answering. If you don't care, don't be on the forum.

Maybe he didn't need to answer, but frankly I get where he's coming from, this thread is completely meaningless, why do you even care, will it make even 1 cent difference to your life whatever people think about this and the 10 or so responses likely to come saying online or offline are more profitable.

I'm not trying to be rude, just trying to explain where the above poster was coming from and to be honest i'm with him on this one.

It's been my experience that most posts on WarriorForum have "always" been meaningless. I'm being sardonic here by the way. I asked, because I've actually seen many people on random posts say online is much better or offline offers greater profit potential. I just wanted to get peoples' opinions, but it seem the trend of attacking posters continues. I never got why people post at all if they never intend to answer the thread question. Joel, nobody is born a pro in anything. People learn by knowledge, experience and the opinions of others. I'm sure you're not trying to be rude here. Many people on here don't mean to be rude, yet they end up saying rude things. If you're in a study group in college and a member asks a question, how often would you say I don't know and I don't care?

Yeah i'm not commenting so much on whether he should have posted, he probably checked the thread out and was thinking aloud if you know what I mean. Like I say I agree with him objectively as it makes no difference to your life or anyone else's for that matter what a few people here think on it. It will do nothing for anyone's bottom line here IMO.

In any event, for what it's worth I think the answer has to be offline and don't see how anyone could think different on that (at least generally speaking). Just look around and you'll see it's pretty obvious. There are plenty reasons why people will do almost anything to work for a big brand or bank and try and get a piece of the pie and the huge profits many of them keep making. As one poster above said they have more possibilities in terms of scaling up, number of employees etc. that make it easier to make more from it overall IMO.

See Joel. That wasn't so hard. You actually have one of the better answers. That's all I was looking for.

Both. You need to do work on and off line. Promote yourself in both places and you will see that you can be very successful.

The people who make the most are the people who understand that diversification is key to a successful business, and those same people also understand that marketing is how you succeed in this business.

Each marketing method have strength and weakness. While online marketing can be done by auto-piloting, offline marketing require a good manager to put every variable into organized company, which will cost a lot of money. But offline marketing can break the limit of online marketing, for example service product. Lets be more realistic, online marketing only works when people turn on their computer and reach the landing page. While offline marketing works everyday as long as the shop is open.
