How to market, increase rank and traffic of a content site

Our site, Par Stars golf news, reviews and discount tee times covers golf news and information, and also does tee time booking. We have a lot of very unique content, with feature news stories and in-depth golf course reviews.

We are desperately trying to get our site ranking well, and we put some of our articles on ezine articles, submit our sitemaps to google and bing, etc. Often, we can't even find our articles in a google search, and our SERP is so low. They are in there, as we can find them using our name in the search, but nobody is doing that of course. For example, if I google "sweet 16 tpc scottsdale" which the feature article is about, next to our article (which shows up high) it says: "You shared this - Limited" so I don't think that's getting any exposure.

I'm looking at tools like magic Submitter, but we would only be submitting our original content, and wouldn't be spinning anything. I'm not sure I would be getting the bang for the buck there.

We also do tee time booking on our site too, which is the primary way we can make money and while that does get us some clicks, it is not very much at all.

With our long time being around, and the unique content we serve up, what am I missing here to get traffic to the site? I really could use some advice and some help, and if tools like Magic Submitter would work for me, please point me in the direction of how to use it or other/better tools in my scenario.

You need to focus and build backlinks to your website and continue to write high quality unique content on it. As your site begins to age it will begin to gain more Google trust which will result in a higher ranking.

Do you think the backlinks need to be manual, or should I look deeper into an automated software? I've looked at a few fiverr deals and tried to find ones that are well reviewed and don't seem spammy. I really don't want to hurt my SEO at this point.

Oh, and even in google webmaster tools, it doesn't index all of our content.

The last one is all of our golf course information pages, and some of the reviews. I'm guessing the reviews aren't indexed and are among the few that aren't.

I'd be interested in advice about strategies for manual submission. What's a good method we can use? We publish a new article daily, and a new review weekly.
