Is it a good strategy to offer a newsletter optin during membership sign up on my site?

    Yes, Yes, and Yes! A newsletter is a fine lead magnet to generate more sign ups for your membership site.

    You might also want to consider a free video or a ebook if you have one handy

    Sure, it's always good to build your list. I'm not sure if doing so could 'turn-off' your prospective members from becoming registered members, but you can offer the option to receive your newsletter, special offers, or offer a FREE incentive.

    In short, I would say YES

      I would also agree that a neswletter is a good lead magnet. It actually worked for me. Mind you, you will not get a huge response but my philosophy is that every little bit helps.

    Yes a list is always the key. When I first started I never really built a list (my mistake).
    I have been adding to it now over the last 10-12 months and I love the results.
    Even if you change niches/markets always build....build ,build your list
