I want to create a product review blog

This is my first time doing this. I want to make a online money making review blog.

What are the steps of creating a blog like this?
What are best templates I could use?
Which features does it need?
What makes it succesful?

And feel free to give me a review copy. I would gladly make a review out of it on my blog. I will create a video or article review. Just send me a pm!

    You need to have your own domain name, and hosting.
    Install wordpress on it, and your chosen theme and some basic plugins to combat spam, and enhance security and seo.

    Then you need to focus on current, and popular products and get access to those products by buying them or asking for review copies, and getting the real insights from the product and its usage..and in the review cover both pros and cons.


    As most of the time we setup review sites/blogs to promote stuff as an affiliate. To promote products as an affiliate in better way, I suggest following method:

    Good way to promote a product you like , is to share possible good usages or real applications of those products in the customer's life/business. So for example,
    your market have some issue, you share some solution to that, and to apply that solution effectively, lazily and fast, they may need some essential kit or tools or services, and it is where you can earn your commissions by suggesting the tools and services your users can use to get quick results.

      Anything you can get hold of in the start. Personally I use Aweber, but i have friends and clients happily using Getresponse, icontact, and others...

      To promote your blog, is same as promoting any other site. Please search this forum about traffic generation tips and you will find lot of threads with lot of ideas to promote and generate traffic to any site or blog.

      Mailing list helps bring back traffic that like your content. As for a provider, I recommend checking out MailChimp if you don't want to invest (monthly) on a package. They give you 500 free subscriptions (or 12000 email a month) for free every month until you need more.

      If you're willing to invest, check out Aweber. Their starting price (monthly) is $1 and then $19 every month after that!

      If you're uploading videos to YouTube and then embedding them onto your blog, make sure that you title, describe and tag your video properly on YouTube itself to bring across traffic from there. Include your blog link in the description!

      Check out Social Media Marketing Forum for some tips there, it may be worth looking at Google+ shared circles in Internet Marketing, they offer a unique and relatively untouched way of entering the market in a new way. Learn G+, it'll be your best friend as it starts to grow even more!

      On a side note, check out the "Business" category of the Google Doc I linked above, it has a few more circles you can access that may be related to one or two products as opposed to all of them, always useful for a few more affiliate sales!



      You next best bet is article marketing. Write some articles (or outsource them, head over here: Warriors For Hire to find a warrior that will write reviews for you, and then post (syndicate) them across a few high PR article directories such as EzineArticles, that kind of stuff. Leave a link back to your site in the "Resources box" (becomes clear what I mean when yo come to submit the articles to the directories) with a brief description of what you do on your blog.

    Aside from what everyone else is saying, (Hosting, domain, etc etc..) my biggest advice is to go after lower competition, but buyer oriented keywords. Especially with a product review blog.

    "Samsung 42XL5T" is a LOT harder to rank than "Samsung 42XL5T lowest price online," for example. Your traffic isn't going to be huge. But it's going to be super-targeted and convert a lot better.
