Where to sell tumblr account?

Hi all, I have some tumblr accounts for sale. Anyone knows where is a safe place to sell them? Prefer sites with no transaction fees and other costs involved.

I thought it would be against tumblr's terms and conditions forbidding them to be sold. Seen as you will not actually own the tumblr accounts, you are basically renting them from tumblr.

    Unless i'm wrong?

People buy/sell Blogger blogs and Squidoo Lenses... why coulden't you sell a Tumbr Blog?

The only way to really 'own' virtual real estate, of course, is with your own domain and Webfiles uploaded to your own hosting.

Like people are saying, I doubt they would be worth much though unless there were some very special circumstances ie Massive following or Killer PR.

Tumblr blogs are not something i've looked into, so my knowledge about them is limited. However, wouldn't you run the risk of purchasing a tumblr blog and then having it taken away if tumblr decide to delete it?

Surprisingly, they do (typically for very low amounts, because they're not very safe, of course). I suspect that most of the people buying access to "sites" like this are those who've never had any of the common problems with them and are either unaware of them or imagine that they apply only to "other people".

Strictly speaking it's "access to the account" that's sold, not the site itself, as is the case when people are foolhardy enough to buy Blogger blogs.

Yes, completely. That's why they're not usually worth anything much, and are difficult to sell.

You need to be careful when your buying tumblr blogs - Especially if they are being sold making notes that they have PR -

here is the issue - Many times tumblr will close blogs - for little to no reason - Some of these blogs will have PR - Once its closed then the url is available for taking again -

So even though you have a brand new tumblr account the PageRank on the Url will still reflect the old one - The truth in the matter is that Tumblr has removed all the activity from the previous account so when there is a new PR update you will see the true PR.

Just be sure to stay away from tumblr accounts that make notes to having PR but only a few or zero posts -

What users do is use scrapebox to search for tumblr blogs - then they run all urls to see which ones come back as 404 - and then they run each one of them in a PR checker - If they have PR they will re-register and then sell -

Maybe many of the users dont actually understand that the PR has in fact gone

    thanks

It is quite often a tumblr is sold on internet marketing forums, as you might notice, tumblr gets really high on page rank easily. How is that? people are bored using regular web search, instead they are going for Google image, and that so many images, most of them are from tumblr. But there are one problem, tumblr picture got outdated really fast. And no one have the power to maintain a quick update of tumblr picture with that tag system.
When you stumble a good PR tumblr account, wait for next week, there will be no more of that popularity anymore.

    easy come and easy go.

So people who buy tumblr account usually desperate to promote some product which only sold for temporary.

If your tumblr accounts have got good PR and some fair amount of audience, you may get buyer for those accounts but the price will be low for sure as Alexa said.
