This forum is a good place to get traffic from comments that you make when you reply to other posts. You have to have made a number of posts before your signature will display but once it does you can get traffic if people click on your link in your signature. If you make thoughtful and helpful posts people are more likely to click on your link.

Other ways are finding blogs in your niche that post regularly and get a lot of traffic. You can usually tell by the number of comments they get. It pays to be one of the first to comment so subscribe to the blog to get notified of the latest blog post.

    That depends on your niche.

The best sites for you to get free traffic from are the sites where the targeted readers/visitors/subscribers you need to attract to your site are already reading/visiting/subscribed. If you have a site about rheumatism, there's no point in trying to generate free traffic from a site about cauliflower soup recipes, is there?

Find well visited sites/forums/blogs in your niche and become an active member in them by posting quality information. Once you establish yourself and gain trust of the members, you will start seeing traffic.

      This.

In addition to what Lexy said, you'll need to focus on creating high quality comments which add value to the discussion. Most blog comments consist of something like "thanks for the post", so if you actually make an effort to engage the author of the post and add more value to what they have already created, you'll be 2 steps ahead.

I am not sure but I noticed that there are many different question-and-answer websites that could bring in a lot of traffic. You can try Yahoo Answers, Kioskea, or Wiki Answers.

There really is no such thing as FREE because you have to invest your time and it if you price on your time you will see just how much that FREE traffic can cost you. That doesn't mean that you don't do the work to get the traffic. Here are a few ways I have been able to generate traffic.

It is not just a matter of building a list you also have of cultivate a relationship with that list.

Here are some ways that you may already be aware of and you may even be using them. You want the maximum traffic you can get. When you are writing for any platform always read their terms of service and be aware of the value of SEO.

Go to Squidoo and write a lens and create a back link to your site. Then go to Hubpages and write a post there. Both Squidoo and Hubpages are favored by Google.

If you are blogging – re post your blog on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Digg, Reddit, Stumbleupon, Google+ and Delicious. Add you latest blog to Google bookmarks. These all point back to your site.

Go to forums in your niche and make sure you include your site in your signature link.

Getting traffic to your website will not be that difficult if you have a steady approach towards it. For example I will suggest you to stick with two major source of traffic - long term method (SEO) and instant method (Blog comment, yahoo answers, forum post).

Now invest time in both method separately, continue your good work. And you will see decent result within very short time.

There is no such best site. I would suggest you to find commentluv enabled sites which have high traffic. Commentluv will fetch your latest post , and will show along with your comment. I get traffic from commentluv enabled blogs . You can also try using dofollow social bookmarking sites . Reddit is a good for getting quick traffic but you have to be very careful with it as it is very strict . How to get traffic from reddit

When you upload a video to YouTube, you have a huge opportunity for some free web traffic. Make sure you include the URL to your site in your video somewhere, but also include it in the video description too. This way, if people like your video, they’re likely to visit your site too. Even if they don’t like your video, they may visit to see what you’re all about.

If you're going specifically for traffic, load up a bunch of niche related keywords into Google alerts. You'll receive email notifications when a new blog post is indexed and includes your keywords. This can allow you to be one of the first comments on a niche-related post. You can get pretty lucky at times by leaving a comment on a high traffic blog. (Which, in turn, can drive some really targeted traffic back to your site.)

Just make sure you're leaving comments that you'd approve on YOUR blog / site and you should see pretty decent approval rates.
