Any Good Resources On Storytelling?

Hey.....

I wanna learn how to story tell in my emails.....

Anyone got any advice/articles/tips on how to do it effectively?

      Don't know about the Copywriting Forum, I'd suggest the WSO Forum. There's plenty of tall stories there.

    Read.

    Read plays in particular. They're nicely packaged short stories that (hopefully) won't be performed in real time longer than 2:30(Obviously Shakespeare is an exception here and the 1000s of years of Greek Theater, but they didn't have TV ). That means you can finish them pretty quickly and move onto to a different take on how good stories are structured and presented.

    Watch movies. The good ones The more you expose yourself to good story telling the better you'll understand the natural flow of it.

    Look at screenwriting. Screenwriting can be written in Act formats, like The Walking Dead, which is a good place to look for rising tension and creating tension to hold the attention of your reader through certain sections or the whole thing. Shows like Mad Men have a Feature structure without Act breaks, but a lot can be learned from those too.
