Anyone successfully promoting their b2b service through Linkedin? What's working for you?

So I'm working with an IT company promoting a service B2B. Right now lead generation is almost 100% focused on cold calling. I recently started using Linkedin, and I can see that the majority of people that I cold call are using it. Is there a way to use it for lead generation to complement our cold calling efforts?

The company I'm working with is on the smaller side, so can't really play around where results can't be quantified. What kinds of online activities might give us the biggest bang for our buck? The objective is to get our target subset of IT professional to come and check out our 25 minute webinar.
