Newbie Squeeze Page Question

I am a do it your selfer, is that a word? Ok I have made headers with my CS4 and I have a mac book and a bunch of programs I never use that came with the
CS4 like flash and dreamweaver. Can I make a simple squeeze page with them? I am a quick learner. I just don't have the 90 bucks to have someone make if for me, and I need to learn to make them myself.

How do you get the link to aweber in them? Take it to Word or something to give link? Or what about iweb?

Thanks
Michelle:confused:

You've got some delicious, premium software right there, and dreamweaver is all you need.

Personally, my background is in web design, so I would often make "pretty" squeeze pages using dreamweaver and photoshop. But these days, I use dreamweaver alone.

As for the aweber stuff... If you have a basic understanding of HTML forms, there are just certain parts of the form code that you need.

You need the first line <form action etc...>

And then you need the hidden stuff in a "div" whose style="display:none;"

And then you just need to name your fields appropriately.

It's not as complicated as it sounds. I'm sure a quick youtube search of "custom aweber form" will walk you through it.

Anyway... Here are some SUPER basic steps...

    1. Use google to find a free squeeze page template.

    2. Open it in dreamweaver

    3. Edit it to your liking - Own headline etc.

    4. In code view, edit the form, to input your aweber stuff.

    That's it, really.

Thanks so much! Yes I love Photoshop! Hubby decided he would do some Wedding Gigs, so I had to learn Photoshop like yesterday. I got through it, but I hated the whole Wedding Couples. So now I just play around with it making my headings and things.

I love You Tube, I think you can learn just about anything on it, I have!

Thanks so much. I figured I had something on my computer that would make a simple squeeze page form and save me some bucks!

      Thanks again!

Dreamweaver is the industry standard. And that being the case, it's capabilities are beyond the needs of most people.

A simpler way to create a squeeze page is to use WordPress for all of your pages, and then use the AWeber plugin to create and embed the form.

Here's the link: WordPress › AWeber Web Form Plugin « WordPress Plugins

Yes I have that all figured out, but I made a new web page that my first page goes to index and the Blog goes to the main area of the site, so I need a page to stick on hostgator so when they type in my name dot com it will hit the opt in box.

First I figure out how to make the page...then I figure out how to get it on hostgator and make it work. LOL!
