Building my Product - How to invest in leads?

Hi Guys,

As you can see, i'm new in here. I have a couple of questions as i'm in the process of building my financial product site.

I cannot reveal much about the product itself, but i'm looking for leads. What would be the best way to go about doing this?

Adwords: Not worth it. Too expensive with the possibility of false leads coming through.

What are the other options available? Does infolinks or adbrite work good? Or can you suggest something else? My budget is not more than $8 per lead.

Would appreciate if you guys could suggest me some options.

Thanks.

One option to get a good list started is solo ads. You should be on the financial forums too...not alot of leads but good exposure and some traffic to your site.

Thank Eutaw.. Will explore solo ads. I am already active on quite a few forums in my niche and have a decent number of leads already collected. However, I want to reach out in a bigger scale.

I've heard about CPV as well, which looks a lot cheaper, any idea on how this works out compared to keyword or cpc advertising?

If you are using getresponse as your autoresponder then I must suggest you to buy leads via them. They send quality leads and it can be targeted also...

1 thing i like about them is... they only charge for leads not for clicks..

Actually paid search wouldn't be a bad option if you're willing to spend that much on a lead. Sure, in that industry CPC's are way high... But just bid lower. You won't get maximum impression share, but you still get some clicks at descent rates. If you have a Plus, leads through cold traffic sources like Adwords are newer to the market, which means they won't be on zillions of other lists.
