Facebook + Hot Chicks = an Interesting biz model

Here's an interesting business model...

About 4 months ago I "liked" Beautiful Girls Magazine and Tattooed Girls Magazine (https://www.facebook.com/tattooedgirlsmagazine) on Facebook.

Every day they would post pictures of...you guessed it - hot girls!

People would like and share the heck out of these things.

THEN, about a month ago they started posting the pictures with an affiliate link to a Clickbank seduction product. ("How to seduce hot girls - video by Josh P.)

These pictures have THOUSANDS of likes and shares, some pics have tens of thousands of likes! No way to tell what kind of conversions these guys are seeing but they certainly know how to presell! ;-)

I only have one question for you.

Did their strategy get you to buy?

If not, then that could speak for itself.

They have quite a few conversions, I have dealt with similar people doing the same thing and I can tell you it works, figuratively speaking the ration is about 1 conversion every 1,000 likes.

    Cheers,

Pictures of girls will always get shared and liked a lot but they are just that, pictures of girls. Anyone and everyone is going to like them so it's not a very targeted audience at all -- as proven by the fact you liked the page and are not interested in the products. You would probably be the majority, not the minority. Without a targeted audience they wouldn't be making many conversions at all.

A good conversion rate would be 2%, yes? In fact, 2% would be very good, I'd fathom.

2 out of 100 is minority.

As the OP said, the proof is in the stats. Now, getting a hold of that... is a different story altogether.

That's a great point, Will. I'd rather have a list of 100 people actively looking for "pick up" advice then 10,000 horny dudes staring at my precious pictures of hot chicks... ;-)

So true, also I see it like this - Why do all the free porntube sites and sites like hamsterx whom offer tons of free adult clips still insist on promoting premium paid for adults sites on their banners, it is because even though these people have all the free porn at their fingertips (and why most are on it because it is free), a % from the daily millions will still go on to join these sites.

The OP already mixes in the IM Arena.

HE already knew what's going on.

There are literally TONS and TONS and TONS of people outside of the planet "Warrior Forum" and IM that don't even know what Marketing is, let alone what Clickbank is, to be even slightly aware they are being sold too.

OP specifically didn't buy it because OP specifically is already savvy to what's going on, and was already analysing their marketing which is an entirely different "mind mode" to the average FB Fan.

He already knows the tricks/what's going on already and has already flagged it in his head.

Most people in the REAL world are not thinking "ooh thats a Clickbank product, oh I see I'm not buying it, he's selling to me".

That Fanpage could be absolutely crushing it with that method in all reality.

People HERE are saying that "well did you buy it?...well that should tell you something"..which is skewed as OP's reasons for not buying it are most likely the EXACT opposite of REAL genuine fans on that fanpage who don't even have half a grasp on marketing concepts...AKA oblivious to it.

But all being said, the fact it's broad and not that targetted is probably effecting sales, yeah, I'd agree with that.

Anything that is related to hot women will always have high traffic. I have a youtube channel that has videos with over 100k views in less than a month of air, but the conversion rates for the links in description are usually very low. Even for CPA. Not actual selling of products.

Commonly referred to as e-whoring. Been around as long as there have been pics of hot women, the Internet and affiliate programs.

e-whoring is trying to impersonate a woman when really your a guy.

The concept comes from guys on facebook pretending to be a chick on a dating site to get them to optin to a dating/adult CPA offer.

That is what e-whoring is. And I tell you what I know a lot of dudes who crushed it too, till their FB accounts got whacked.

Not spreading pictures of lots of different HOT chicks specifically.

      e-whoring is actual fake profiles.
True ... that's exactly what it is except that it can also be girls with fake profiles with pics of drop dead gorgeous, hot women as themselves. It was very popular on Myspace and some adult dating sites long before it hit Facebook. It was allegedly, by all accounts, pretty lucrative until Myspace and the other sites started deleting bot created accounts by the thousands.

I disagree with the comments that people only look at pics of hot girls and won't convert. It's a numbers game, and with a crowd of people that are spending their time drooling at hot chicks online, some of them are going to convert to affiliate sales, no doubt. What the conv will be is another matter, but I wouldn't discard this concept as I think it's probably a very nice money spinner!

Ehoring is very common practice in selling adult-related products but I still believe FB is not a good site to advertise.. and I have experience doing so with little to no success at all..

It may works but the conversion may be low, it needs huge LIKES on FACEBOOK fan page.

The time it takes to set-up a page and post pics of hot girls is worth the effort. Even if you convert at 2% all you have to do daily is find 3 picks of hot girls and share them. They will go viral. The adult nice is full of this stuff. People on porn sites on no that targeted.

They are there for a reason and the ad space costs a fortune, so pics of hot girls must work. Where there are guys looking at hot girls...... There are guys wishing they could pick up hot girls. Seems like a decent 2 min a day income. Even at 2%

That link has over 346,000 clicks.

      https://bitly.com/Tg60R9+

5,6,7,9000 clicks per day shooting to his affiliate page...I'll take that.

I'd guess he gets way less then 1% conversion.

      Even at .005% conversion rate he's made 1,500+ sales....making $57/sale = $80k

I'd own a dirty tattoo girl facebook page to make that much money.

This is what I am doing, except it's with fitness models.

Even with 1-2k fans I was getting (on average) a sale every 1-2 days.

Facebook is an absolute gold mine
