Ive downloaded the ebook and have had a quick read through. You have many great idea's. I will give a more detailed review when I have a bit more time.

One small observation though. I found it quiet difficult to read as there were many changes of print size and type. It might be easier to read if you changed to verdana or ariel with just the headings in bold or different colours.

Thanks for the feedback so far guys, it's much appreciated.

I'm re-compiling the book to a more consistent font, I was using Caxton LT Light,
and will test other fonts in place. This is why I wanted feedback now, 'cuz I wanted
to find out what issues if any you found, etc.

I wrote the book using Mindjet Mindmanager, and once converted into MS Word, the font
gets a little tricky.

The content is what's most important though right?

I'll get the fonts sorted out.

Well the second thing that bothered my slightly about the book was the font

Have you considered using Bookman Old Style?

The first thing that bothered me that I felt a little mislead about what the book was about, which isn't clear until page 7. No doubt this is handled on the sign-up page which I didn't look at :P

I'm revising the first 7 pages to make it clearer that the purpose of the book is to help
you to launch a Social Network like MySpace and Facebook, and that you will discover
a proven marketing strategy to do so.

I have vision problems and I share that with you up front. I scanned past the contents page and my first impression is that you couldn't decide which font to use, so you used them all. I don't know about others, but it makes it difficult for me to read.

I have always thought that it is not a good idea to use more than a couple fonts, or possibly three at the most. I didn't stop to count how many you used, but the changes seemed overwhelming to me. I probably will not go back and read it for this reason. It would wear me out to read it, and I am not sure the benefit will be worth the trouble.

I only used Caxton LT Light for the font of the book, and for the headings,
I guess I'm going to have to re-compile the book, because I'm not quite sure
why everybody is seeing different fonts.

I converted the book from Word 2007 to PDF ( Using Acrobat 9 extended )

This is why I wanted all your feedback, prior to doing a full release!

I skimmed through the ebook. There are a lot of good pointers in the ebook. Some are common sense... while others take ingenuity to come up with. It really focuses in on why you should target a niche rather than a broad group of people. The more specific the niche the better your conversions will be on potential sales of products. Overall I thought it was a pretty good ebook. If you don't know what you are doing you will learn a lot. If you do you know what are doing there are still a few tips you can pick up from within that ebook.

In my initial post I wrote:

A few days ago I finished writing a new book called "Social Networking Secrets", it is a
42 page book detailing a step-by-step marketing strategy to launching and profiting

Plus, the intro optin letter does not give the impression that it is a guide teaching you
how to market through MySpace & Facebook.

I will try to figure out why people are getting this idea, perhaps it's the title of the book?

The Headline & Sub-Headline at Social Networking Secrets state:

Now You Can Discover The Insider Secrets to Launching and Profiting
From Your Own Social Network

Who Else Wants to Follow a Proven Step-by-Step Plan to Launch a Wildly
Successful Viral Social Network to Gain the Traffic, Members, and Profits
they Desire?

So I really want to know what is making people think that this is a guide on how
to profit from MySpace & Facebook?

Is it the title that is implying this?

Thanks for the feedback as well.

I'm glad you picked up on the specifics on targeting a niche, rather than trying to build
a network like MySpace or Facebook that is so broad. For those that know what they are
doing, they should be able to pick up and launch a network effortlessly, and like I explained
in the book, this network does not replace your current marketing strategy, rather, it
should be used as a complimentary marketing system to get further exposure for your
products or services.

Those that are new, should have a pretty clear strategy to follow, and I hope that
was stated clearly. Thanks again for your feedback, and I will be recompiling the book
in the next 48 hours, as well as making some more adjustments and fixes based on
the feedback provided.

Like I said, good or bad feedback is welcomed, so I can improve the book overall.

Now, being someone who has been on the internet since
(I think) 1997 I tend to judge a site visually within seconds.

The various fonts and colors would normally let me click away
without a second thought.

However ... I tried to settle into the copy but after a cursory glance
I realised it was too much of a distraction.

Spelling errors make me lose confidence in the author because
it is so easy to rectify and yet most people don`t. So how much
effort went into the book?

Copyright also needs some work.

Please bear with me as I looked at your site as if I was going to
spend money.

some simple things tend to slip through the cracks, and what I don't see, others can quickly
pick up. I don't mind constructive criticism at all, in fact, I welcome it, it helps me to improve.

I've received excellent feedback so far, especially via PM's, and now that my
main computer is back to normal, I will be revising the book accordingly.

I will consider adding information on marketing on social websites, but I believe that
this may confuse people further, no?

I originally had a Chapter dedicated to this strategy, but what I really want to teach
people is how to launch their own Social Networks effectively, without relying on other
Social Networks to do so.
