I want to find a GREAT guide/video/mp3 that I can use to write killer sales copy. I want something ultraconcise. In fact, I'd even use software. IS the only software out there the product that was made by Armand Morin (Salesletter Generator). I realize salesletters are all dependent on the product. But there certainly are formats and layouts that convert better... Does anyone know where the best salesletters of all time are? |

Sounds like you are looking for the magic pill that makes your writing good enough to make money. Doesn't exist - you'll have to work at the craft to get anything like consistent results with it. Michael Senhoff's "Hard To Find Ads" site has a lot of great old salesletters and space ads on it. I would be very surprised if a software wrote "killer" salesletters for you. It doesn't work as a cookie-cutter process in my experience, though there is a process of lifting effective elements from proven winners and applying them to a new situation. |

Well, what are you trying to sell? Find something that is selling, and copy it. That's about it. There are structures, and cues, and power words, and incentives, proper spacing and alignment, yadda yadda. There is only so much you can do with words. It's either been done before, or if its new, it's just something old with a twist, in the end it's just words. What you SHOULD do, is start a "swipe" folder. Anytime you see a product or a headline that captivates your interest, SWIPE it. Copy it down, remember it for later use. After awhile, you'll be able to piece together a sales letter just from that. Copywriting is like any creative craft, there is a good amount you can learn, but past that it's simply up to you, and only practice will make perfect. You are surrounded by brilliant copy, learn from it. |

Money isn't real, George. It doesn't matter. It only seems like it does.

Ken Evoy used to sell 'Make Your Words Sell' for $30 but it's free now. I bought my copy of it about 6 years ago now and found it to be quite good as a beginner guide to writing copy. Here's a link to get it free: Make Your Words Sell! Hope that helps, Mike |

You should know that being a good writer and a successful copywriter are two completely different things. I don't see how anyone could read a guide and learn how to write copy that converts. It takes months, even years to write a highly effective, killer sales letter with a high conversion rate. Hmmm. You can go ahead and try the suggestions mentioned above, but I highly suggest you work with a copywriting expert to improve your copy skills to get the type of results you seek. |

Hi Oilman: Hope you are well today. As an author/writer/public- speaker I hope this will make things easier. Keep researching for the articles/books/videos/ about sales copy but add one more thing to your search. Start with the Warrior Special Offer Forum Page and click on any entry regardless of product. Look at the copy and the website copy as well. Take a piece of paper and divide it into 2. Left section is good and right not so. Anytime you see something that seems logical and advantageous place that on the left such as size of the font, buzz words, background of page, clearness of message, price, etc. Do the same for the negative. After getting a good sampling of what is out there you will be ahead of the game. You can see what looks good in terms of font, color, size of sales letter, price structure, buzz words, and so on. Take your time and absorb it all and then start to formulate your own plan. Good luck! |
