I just bought a ready made AOM website

I just bought a ready made AOM website from a seller at Flippa. He took my login details to my hosting account and transferred the files. Isn't it dangerous to provide my hosting details ? It seems like it is a very common to do that at Flippa when a newbie buy a website.

My second question is that he said he has implemented my amazon affiliate key and secret key into the website files but how can I be sure of this ? Maybe he didn't change them and the money from the sales will go to his account.

Also AOM is a paid service. I didn't know this when I bought the website and he didn't mention anything about this. I read about it at somewhere in this forum. If it is a paid service can I still use it via the seller's subscription?

1)How is it any more dangerous to give him your hosting info then to run code he wrote? Thats like saying you trust your mechanic to work on your car but not to have your car keys. Silly when you think about it.

2)View the source where the ads are OR you can use FireBug to check the ad links

3)Not sure about this one, I doubt it.

As a side note: in general pre-written sites like this are garbage and not very good investments. Think about it, if the seller thought that you were going to make more than the hosting cost/ sellers fee, then why would he sell it to you, he would just keep the site for himself.

      Hello yasemena,

Anytime you give your login details out to someone it is a good practice to just change your password...

Yes, it might be dangerous, but in your case, there is no worry because the seller just only need to transfer the site to you. Therefore, it is not too risk in your case. Yet, after everything is finished, you must change your login details.

Just as above mentioned, view the sources and compare it to your codes.

AOM has free and paid license; therefore, you can ask the seller for this issue. I doubt that you must buy new license each year with the initial license price of $90/Year and $20/Year after that.
Go to the seller and discuss this with him/her is the best option.

If you don't trust the seller, don't buy anything from him. You have to have some level of trust if you want to do business with people. I mean, it's good to be alert but it doesn't make sense to do business with strangers if you don't trust them.

AOM takes 10% revenue off free sites. None if you pay.

How much did you pay on flippa?

These guys have a bunch AOM sites ready to install or will build a custom one for $19.99
