How to promote dating niche?

I have few very good quality websites in dating niche (adult dating niche too). My sites are mostly UK based. I'm using many methods of promoting such as social networks, fivver, ad space etc.
But I see that I need to get few strong links to my sites to get them stronger. Interesting, this niche (dating) is one of the most competive but it is very very difficult to find really good backlinks. Why most people send me rubbish hardcore sites? Is any way to find good dating sites in realible owners.
I'm using few marketplace section on different forums but usually I get messages from link traders with rubbish WP blogs: few posts and don't have any sub-pages.
