ClickBank Hoplink - odd movement!

I have a new product and one particular hoplink is sending me some mass traffic via adf.ly referral - None of the traffic is converting and the hoplinks name is "cookieless"

seems alittle odd to me..... Maybe i'm reading into to much.

More than likely runs a PPC website. Back in the day I used Adf.ly and CB to market products and put adverts on my PPC website (bux site, not AdWords etc).

There may be other sources, but I've done this exact method beforehand to generate quite a considerable income.

Another example may be that it's spam traffic and he's looking to make more money through adf.ly and the CB page is merely something to redirect to, such as false-hope products, whereby he advertises a fantastic product through his adf.ly link - make $1,000,000 in 5 minutes for example - and then the customers are disappointed that the product they click through to isn't what the were promised.

Just a few ideas, may be worth looking into it if it's causing server stress and no sales.

    Jamie.

They simply are using "cookieless" as their CB id...

The traffic is probably not converting because it's from Adf.ly...

You are probably getting "mass amounts" because it's super cheap...

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,
    Coby

Talk to CB if you want to block at your end

If you want to block at it your end:

    1. Make a PHP script
    2. In PHP test if hop=cookieless, then redirect to page X, otherwise redirect to your real pitch page
    3. Test, by going http://www.yoursite.com/yourscript.php?hop=somebodyelse and http://www.yoursite.com/yourscript.php?hop=cookieless, plus http://www.yoursite.com/yourscript.php
    4. Log-in to clickbank, make the PHP script your hoplink target URL

Seems to me like that affiliate is sending you traffic from a traffic exchange website or a "program" that promised to have his link viewed by xxxxx amount of visitors (bogus visitors that is) for a small fee. Usually these sites promise someone a lot of visitors for a low fee and those are not real people but computer generated hits.

You can not do anything about it and this will die down once the affiliate realizes that they are not making any money for all those hits.
