    Hi seohallmark,

I am a 100% rated Flippa seller who sell brand new sites for $$$. My last auction ended 2 days ago and the site was sold at $3K.

In order to sell new sites at these prices, you need to have a good concept, a well built (and easy to manage) website, a nice design, some positive feedback and... Sales. Sales are really important to sell a new site at a pretty good price.

It has been one year that I have been developing tools allowing me to generate quick sales. It is a way for me to verify that the site is converting well and show to potential buyers that the site has already made money. I also use "media buying" to generate sales.

I have given full satisfaction to all my buyers. Most of them are already getting money from my sites. Some of them even hired me to build more sites for them. My last buyer just sent me a message to thank me because he has already received 2 sales from my site. Here is the feedback he just left me on Flippa:

"Great and helpful seller. Already making money from his site and it has only been two days!!!!! Will definitely buy from him again." - and he paid $3K for my brand new site.

I am also offering a top-notch customer support, helping them to develop the site, designing web banners (for free), offering them premium SEO packages...

So the key to sell a new site at a great price is: good concept, easy to manage website, awesome design, sales, positive feedback, premium support and bonuses

Not currently because I've just sold my last website (and always focus on one site at a time - for better quality). I will start working on my next website in couple of days

Sure I usually go to "Alexa.com" and search for my niche. I then find some big websites (related to the niche of my new site) and contact them directly to know if they have some available spots to advertise my site. Given that I contact them directly, I am able to negotiate prices (which is not possible with an "ad marketplace" such as Buy Sell Ads). Then I design a web banner and start promoting the site

I was wondering, how you are able to sell sites for 5k. Do your sites have to be earning a certain amount, or the traffic be at a certain amount for this to happen.

        Hi Eric,

When there is one day left, I usually purchase the $50 upgrade to get my site listed on the homepage. In this way, potential buyers can see that my listing is ending in less than a day and it attracts more bidders

          Hello Deezign

How well it works for you the upgrade list for the home page?
you think it is a good idea for a site under 1k

          Thanks in advance

Well, the home page upgrade is giving you a lot more visibility (which leads to more bidders). To give you an example, when I first started to flip sites on Flippa I was trying to avoid all these kind of upgrades. My auctions usually ended with around 200-400 views.

Now that I am purchasing the home page upgrade, my auctions usually end with 1,400 views.

So yes, this is definitely something useful/powerful and I will keep doing it for my next auctions

I think it's clear, I will try in my current auction, thanks!

Well in fact I sold my site for $500 to customers and I later found that without doing anything just buying some traffic and same person sold that site on Flippa for $1300 and I was shocked when I found it!

Yes, a lot of people on Flippa are simply buying websites at "cheap prices" and then create/add value to the sites in order to resell them at a higher price. I have personally never done it but know a lot of people who are using this business model.

Startup sites used to be very hard to sell on Flippa with hefty fee of $40 and minimum $10 fee.... I was not making good return when my niche sites were not getting good bids, and also i noticed fewer and fewer listing views for my listings.

I had to shut down that project, but recently they have lowered fees for startup sites? Is it now working fine? I mean do you get enough traffic view and bids to your brand-new sites with no earnings? or Earning is big part to get it going?

    Regards,
    Mohsin

I've made over 5k last month just from selling brand new sites with no traffic and no revenue. So it surely works!
Sometimes you sell for 200$, sometimes for just 30$, if you sell high volume then you can make this much..(around 2 sites each day)

      Hi Moshin,

You are right. Flippa has now lower its listing fees to $9 for brand new sites (and $29 for an established one). However, if you list a site at $9, you will also have to pay a 15% success fee (instead of paying a 5% success fee for established websites). This is good if you are planning to sell your site around $200/300. However, if you know that you can sell it higher than $1K, I would recommend you to go with a $29 listing and a 5% success fee.

I have said time and again, a website should not be based on a 10 month revenue model if its a quality site or a concept. Its all case by case.

The main thing most people don't understand about site sales is that there is no set market, even for income sites. It's all about buyer utility. The buyer, not the market determines the price.

One buyer may be willing to spend $500 because his time creating the site would be worth $1000 so to him it's worth it. Another buyer may think its only worth $30 because there is no traffic or revenue and he could build it himself. However, he doesn't value his time or the time of an outsourcer and will pay a lower price.

Some day, there will be an established market, with prices that make sense. But until then it's like the wild wild west.

Even flippa themselves can't get a hang of the market because it fluctuates worse than the stock market.

I bought a site on there a few years ago for $80, turned it around - made it look nicer and flipped it a week later (after 2 days work) for $800 - not a bad gig at all if you do it right!

I havent flipped any sites SINCE then, but I just acquired a PR 6 website I might do something with - I wonder how much i could sell a pr6 for thats not generating sales? LOL

Well, I guess you might definitely be able to get a great deal from a PR6 website (depending on your niche and traffic). Potential buyers can easily find a way to monetize the site

    Its definatly possible.
I have sold many sites that are 30 days old on Flippa its just a case of making it interesting to the person buying it.

Some people are not interested but some people will find the site a perfect fit.

If you don't give it a shot you will never know
