Your first attempt to earn money?

Hello Warriors,

Suddenly remember my first attempt to earn money and It made smile in my face It really was not very long ago , about 6 years ago I think. The story is with bad ending but anyway it's funny and good to remember old time. I had savings from all birthdays and noticed site called ebay, after what I saw what Iphones in UK are much more expensive then in my country, bought 2 Iphones in my city,in the next day I dropped one(glass was broked) and another sinked in river ... it was I think the worst day in my life ... All in all I sold broked one in ebay (it was iphone 2G). It would be very interesting to hear your story, maybe not so sad as mine

For me, my first real online earning is from FIVERR whereby I earned 4 bucks for writing a blog post... the first dollars (or 4 dollars in my case) is the sweetest! That's 1 year plus ago...

No bad ending... since then... I branch into social media, adv and affiliate marketing as well! ;-)

Before internet marketing, I started making my own Android apps. These were simple apps but they still make me a monthly passive income to this day. It's not a great deal, but it's still money that's coming in from something that I set up over 2 years ago. It was a great investment of my time.

I was launching a SaaS site and needed to learn about SEO to promote my product so I created a review site about a magnetic bracelet. After the first week I was getting around 600 daily's so I added adsense to the site. This made around $12 per day, three years ago. After that I was hooked and decided to make 100 more sites, lol they did not do anywhere near the first site. Even though those sites did not do what I expected I am still hooked.

When I was 16, I started performing classical guitar at parties, restaurants and functions. A cushty £300 for 2-3 hours of performing + free food. Also around the same time, I bought broken ipods and iphones, fixed them up and resold them.

My first 2 years of internet marketing was filled with constant failure trying to promote clickbank eBooks. Wasn't pretty but learned more in that time than I have in the 4 years at an expensive university.

Well, my first attempt didn't end well, and also didn't mean bad, it didn't mean anything except sudden clarity of how IM works. I am using clickbank and doing product review as usual, nothing special, and I guess that is why the result is also ordinary. When I want a result, I have to do something extraordinary. This lesson always keep me in check every time I want to make ad copy, list building, etc.

The first time I tried to make money was from an Internet Marketing site that tried to sell everything. I used a poorly edited theme, it wasn't on any kind of CMS, and it was just terrible! :p It didn't go anywhere. I still have the domain, which I keep around mainly for the email addresses, but nothing is there now.

    I've come a long way

I bought a kit online promising to make me rich by alerting people that they had a HUD refund coming.

I saw the kit, decided it was too much work, and decided to sell the kit, instead. I used to ship the kits and customer's paid me COD.

Haven't thought about that in quite a while! Oh the thrill when the mailman would bring me those checks and the dread when I'd put them my bank account, hoping they would cash. Amazingly, most of them did!

I started 10 years ago with something called "get paid to click", don't know if these are still around. Back then I clicked like mad, never made any money. Then managed to build a nice downline in one of the programs and sold my account on ebay. Made around $50. Nice outcome for months and months of clicking.

I used to buy sleeves of cigerettes cheaply, then sell the kids at my school one each behind the sport hall where all the smokers would meet at breaks and lunch.

Good times, used to make around $50a week doing this back in the 90's, I was happy, I was only 14 or so.

I took my hobby of collecting vintage Hot Wheels cars (toy cars) and, when I first heard about eBay, I visited a friend's office to see what this eBay thing was all about. (I wasn't even online yet - this was in 1998)

When I saw pages and pages of what I thought were "rare" collectible Hot Wheels cars, it blew my mind and I knew instantly that THIS was where the action was and I knew I wanted to sell there!

I had a friend sell one of my rare Hot Wheels cars for me (for $847) on eBay and I took that money, along with some more money and bought a new computer and got online.

Started making $1,200 a week instantly on eBay and it grew from there to over $12,000 a week! (I was already an expert at sourcing the Hot Wheels collections, so the rest was easy)

Since my start on eBay 14 years ago, I've maintained my eBay business even to this day, but also quickly wrote an eBook ("Beyond eBay", and I received a TON of help from this WARRIOR FORUM when I was first launching it!)

That eBook led to me becoming the featured expert on an eBay TV infomercial, which ran for 11 years and was seen by millions of people in the U.S.! (we helped 300,000 people learn how to make money on eBay through that show)

I also quickly got into Internet Marketing, Affiliate Marketing and creating my own info-products. (over a dozen and growing fast)

I love online marketing and I have the Warrior Forum to thank for helping me get my start in this amazing IM world.
